Atticus

Honest, humorous, courageous, unafraid to speak their mind… all things no one would know about Atticus at a first glance, or even after speaking to them. Atticus keeps their true self hidden behind a curtain of coolness, approaching everything through apathy or with sarcasm. Somehow, they convinced themself to treat their life as though it were a play and they just have to keep playing their part, but obviously, approaching life this way has led them not to feel close to pretty much anyone, including their family.

Atticus is in the tight spot of feeling too mature for their age yet too insecure to face adulthood, and sometimes thinks death would be far less scary than dealing with the mundanity yet cruelty of everyday life. However, despite this, they managed to make friends and let their true self shine, and grew a positive outlook on their life, deciding to finally pull back the curtain. Atticus is compassionate, attentive, supportive, and never gives up on people. They may not always keep their head cool in tough situations, but when worst comes to worst, they persist under pressure. Some may even consider their persistence stubbornness.

The revelation that a galactic institution in space that fights for justice wanted to recruit Atticus as one of their heroes is not something they reacted positively to. First of all, they already got a ton to deal with as is, secondly, how shady is it to recruit a teenager for something that sounds so dangerous! But despite their multiple attempts to decline, Atticus soon learns that this is a responsibility they have to take. Their desire to seek out justice in a system they consider unfair, selflessness, and devotion to others is what makes Atticus a great team leader, but their rebellious spark might someday grow too bright for the L.I.G.H.T’s liking.
