Beaumont is part of the more experienced gang of surfers that owns much of the turf in Stingbush. From day one they work to thwart all of Tucker’s attempts to surf there, easily beating him in each dust-up. Yet Tucker didn’t give up so easily, and they quickly became rivals.
The gentle Beaumont is as fun-loving as the rest of the group, but he is just as expressive as he is tranquil. His shared shyness with Chester has a much more reserved air to it. While some might view him as a slight enigma, the moment he’s around the other boys is when he becomes alive. He's easily the thinker of the group, and many of his traits make him a good leader. Marley, though, would beg to differ, and sometimes their differences in personality cause them to argue. Nevertheless, they stick together for one reason or another, and while Marley may think he’s the face the group, Beaumont is the glue either way. His own reason for going through with the Tucker humiliation is a little more thought than feeling, and while he actually doesn’t like doing it, he views keeping the turf as possibly beneficial in the long run.
