Juri grew up in an unsafe suburban place with highly religious people who feign ignorance when crimes happen, even when there are publicized reports of those crimes. Growing up with helicopter parents made Juri's life staying there even more insufferable, as they always watched his and his siblings' every move. Not only that, but their parents would also compare them which strained the children's relationship with each other. They would also lie about what the other is doing to get them into trouble, and this rivalry didn't stop at home.

Juri wasn't any better, he was the same as his siblings. They would also fight in front of their schoolmates and of course this doesn't go unnoticed by teachers and staffs. However, they somehow managed to not get expelled in school and graduated with passing grades. In Juri's entire school life, besides having a reputation of being a bad kid, he was also known for his artistic abilities and Juri had built up a portfolio for himself. Ever since he was in middle school, Juri had always wanted to go out and live in the city instead of the fucked up area he grew up in.

Since Juri's artistic abilities were first discovered by his family, his siblings told their parents that Juri was drawing "sinful" things, which led to his parents burning his first sketchbook without Juri around. Due to this experience, Juri became extremely overprotective of his drawings and even brought locks for his room. Knowing how extreme his parents are, instead of buying locks, Juri would instead steal locks in the area and get away. He managed to gather around 30 locks in one month and eventually his parents would give up trying to break into his room. When his parents brought up the idea of removing his entire door instead, Juri threatened to kill them, so the idea to remove the door was out of the question.

During high school, Juri sold a lot of the clothes and gifts his parents and neighbors gifted him, and managed to earn thousands without his family noticing. This was an opportunity for Juri to find an apartment in the city and leave his family without telling them. Juri got the cheapest apartment he could find and lived freely, ignoring his family's threatening texts and enjoying his life in the city. Though there was quite a mess he got into, and it changed his view towards romantic and sexual relationships.

chapter ii.

Busy with fighting his siblings and honing his artistic abilities, Juri didn't have the time for a relationship, nor did he really give a shit about it. He was open to having a romantic relationship, and he got his first partner from a sculpting workshop he participated in. His partner was three years older than him and he piqued Juri's interest. Just like Juri, he was into transgressive art and made Juri feel valid for his views and opinions. However later on in the relationship, Juri's partner became really touchy and was going too fast with Juri. Juri couldn't bring himself to speak up, but this relationship made him feel anxious and made Juri realize how alone he is. Juri only has acquaintances and doesn't trust anyone to help him with his situation. Juri had been assaulted a few times in the relationship, even in his sleep.

Juri already moved in with his partner and it was difficult to break up the relationship when Juri had nowhere else to go. When Juri's acquaintance mentioned in their story that they need a roommate, Juri immediately messaged them and moved out after a few months without getting caught packing his things up. He broke up with him over text and he stalked Juri. Juri didn't call for a restraining order and instead was always prepared to fight him if he got closer to him. This relationship lasted two years and when Juri tried to date another person, they would move fast as well and it would trigger Juri. Juri now makes his boundaries known and won't hesitate to be blunt about them.

Juri's life nowadays seems dull, but not to the point where Juri gets tired of it. In fact, he likes this quiet life a lot. He's now a tattoo artist working in his roommate's shop and he'd also go to BDSM parties to relieve himself. He likes being in control and doesn't care about people's negative views of him. Even though Juri comes off as a closed off person, it doesn't matter to him how people see him. As long as he feels like he can control his life, he'll be fine.
