Basics

As she is half dragon, she’s considered a noble due to the possibility she is related to the country’s patron god and fell dragon, known as the ‘War Father’ Duma.

Personality

Laetitia is seen as a quieter individual, who was raised to keep her feelings to herself, so she comes across as rather aloof and a bit snooty. She doesn’t trust easily as she grew up in a world of political back stabbing and treachery, meaning she has a cold demeanour to those she doesn’t know or like. She has good manners and charisma when she chooses, skills learned from her upbringing. She has a fiery temper, but you wouldn’t know it unless you really pissed her off, as she hides it well. She is also reasonably mature as she grew up pretty much with no one to support her emotionally. Her weaker points include her kindness and confidence, as she was never taught to be kind to others or rely on her own skills.

Specific Details & Duties

Dragonstone

One object Leatitia has kept close to her since she was born is a blue dragonstone, she doesn't know if she is actually able to fully transform or not, as she's never wanted to try it(in her canon timeline she transforms only once, and dies afterwords from falling in battle while in her feral form). She does find that the stone reacts to her whenever she feels any extreme emotions, from glowing faintly to a pulsing blue light that gives her a feeling of security. The stone is also somewhat cold to the touch, although she isn't bothered by it, finding the feeling very welcome.

Social Status

Laetitia was considered a low-ranking noble, after coming to live at the castle and being recognized as a possible descendant of Duma she is considered a high ranking noble, only below direct descendants of the emperor and those with relations to them.

Dragon Ambassador

Now Rigel has an official Dragon Ambassador, in the form of Laetitia. If required she will oversee any disputes anyone that the general officials won’t bother dealing with that involve dragons to some degree. Normally this will involve her showing up with her ears and tail on display and most people being shocked and leaving without much fuss. Or she’ll try and offer advice that may or may not be taken.

Singing

Laetitia has great skill as a singer, especially when she sings in an unknown dragon language. Her singing can help spread a calming effect the she sings with her dragonstone. She has performed as an entertainer in some noble functions at the palace after coming to live there, her singing is unique and different enough to warrant her some fans and good reception when she does sing for an audience.

Dancing

Laetitia actually has almost no skill as a dancer, although she used to pass off as one for some reason. She can look okay dancing from the distance, slowly. Once you get close enough you can see she’s mostly just trying to move in the right direction and not trip.

Ice Blooded

As she is partly an Ice Dragon by blood, she finds the cold weather very pleasant and is not bothered by the cold Rigelian climate except for during the coldest season where she finds it "a little cold for her tastes". As a result, she finds hot weather extremely hard to bear, and harbours a weakness to fire.

Appearance

Skills

Sword Fighting

Laetitia is able to attack with a pretty fast speed and agility level, allowing her to strike consecutive rapid hits providing she starts and finishes the fight quickly. She has decent magical resistance providing she is attacked from a distance, although she has low physical defence and is at a disadvantage when being counterattacked from close range.

Draconic Abilities

Laetitia has the inborn skill to transform into a feral ice dragon. In the case she did so, it would take all of her physical strength to do so and after transforming back she would be so exhausted she would most likely faint instantly.
Her dragonstone also emits a faint to bright light depending on the intensity of her emotions in her human form. The light can help to soothe her when her emotions are running high

When Transformed

When she's transformed into her feral form her attack and defense strength go up greatly, at the cost of her agility and speed. She basically becomes a dragon tank who can dish out strong physical damage and light ice magic contained in her fangs allowing her to deliver a powerful freezing bite, but becomes sluggish and can't maintain her form for very long.

Backstory

Laetitia grew up in the care of a foster noble family after being discovered on the edge of the capital city one night as a newborn. Abandoned babies normally would be left to perish if left alone or taken to an orphanage if they were lucky, as a country priding itself on military strength has no room for the weak who contribute nothing. Pointed ears and other draconic features were historically considered a blessing of dragons from the country’s patron god, Duma, though such a thing to actually exist was collectively thought to be an impossible myth. After the servant who had been taken with an errand that night taking them to the edge of the city noticed this, they knew bringing her to their employer’s family would bring them good fortune. The low-ranking noble family had wanted a child for some time, but had not borne any of their own, so finding a dragon blessed, Rigel-born-looking young child was a huge stroke of luck. The servant was rewarded handsomely with a generous promotion and task of being the child’s caretaker.

The servant ended up dying a few years after, so Laetitia remembers almost nothing about them although she remembers they were kind. As she got older she felt although the adoptive family was kind enough during her early years although she always felt like she was kept at a distance due to her supposed “blessed heritage”. She was told early on that she was not their child by blood, but rather was a gift to the family from Lord Duma himself, and was to be raised and kept pure and protected as she could very well be their ticket to a life of even greater luxury. She was not to reveal her identity to anyone, lest she get kidnapped or killed on sight.

Eventually she grew used to the limited affection and contact she received and began to enjoy being on her own more, and simply watching others rather then interacting herself. She was educated well enough through tutors for things like basic history, writing, and had a decent amount of social interaction with other nobles although she was required to hide her pointed ears and tail at all times, until her family could reveal it for their own gain when she became of age to get some real political power, at least that's what they were hoping.

After she turned 16 she was taken to the castle on the premise of seeing her get recognition, but was almost immediately turned away as common people trespassing. They would’ve been ejected from the castle grounds if it weren’t for a young couple that happened to walk by at that exact moment. The couple happened to be the Crown Prince, Berkut, along with his fiancee Rinea. Berkut was pissed that what looked like lowly commoners were on the castle grounds while he was out with his fiancee, but Rinea commented on Laetitia’s unique appearance that had never been seen before but sounded like it was like what had mentioned in myths. Berkut agreed it was worthing bringing in an official immediately and Laetitia’s family was dismissed from the castle and subsequently, her life. She wasn’t unhappy with this, as it seemed she now had people she could come to care for and even call her friends in time, not to mention living on her own rules and freedoms. She was made a permanent castle guest as it would be considered beyond unspeakable to not house a possible descendant of the patron god himself.

Laetitia came to be good acquaintances and later good friends with both Berkut and Rinea, as they did spend a fair bit of time in each other’s company. She became rather close with Rinea, even adapting her own style of dress to closer match her new friend’s. She enjoys walking with Rinea and visiting the stables, though she hasn't become a very good rider yet. She also picked up some basic self-defense skills on Berkut's request as he felt it would be good if she could defend herself and not rely on any commoner to do so, as a last resort of course. She's reasonably decent with a sword, although she gets tired easily if she has to fight for any extended period of time.

Currently

Laetitia is currently helping Berkut and Rinea by supporting him in his efforts in fighting against Zofia. She is required to show in the courts at times for her Dragon Ambassador duties, but when she’s able she prefers to fight by his side the best she’s able. Mind you, this is also with Berkut’s personal guard, so there is little thought to if they should be defeated and a noble like herself having to fight off the enemy directly.

She has come to know and become well acquainted with Berkut’s personal retainer, Fernand, and the enchanting sorceress Aviana. She does her best in aiding the retainers however she is able, as she always strives to lessen Berkut’s burden due to her sense of duty towards him for taking her in those few years ago.

Trivia

• She has a surprising amount of skill as a singer, and is the best when she sings in a unknown language and doesn't think about it too much.
• Laetitia loves sleeping and enjoys taking naps, especially in nice places like the gardens in the sun. She loves it. Will probably low key growl at someone if they wake her up.
• She likes Pegasi although they don't really like her, they must be able to smell her draconic blood or something. Wishes she could ride on one because it'd be a lot easier then walking everywhere. Also doesn't mind riding on horses for the same reason, less walking.

Relationships

Aviana[ Friend ]

I know Aviana from my time spent with her, Fernand and Berkut. The way she interacts with Fernand is so bold and exciting! I bet they’ll make the sweetest couple if they can get past all the (very loud) arguing…mostly on Fernand’s part.
Regardless, she’s a talented sorceress who I know is able to help defend Berkut, so I like having her around! She’s also nice to me despite my strange appearance which can be a rare thing in Rigel.
