Maria was born the youngest daughter of the Vixen House of Dark Magic. A Family revered for producing powerful witches and black mages, depsite the stigma towards black magic. Her and her sister, Annrietta, have been set to inherit their parents wealth equally
Her families benefactor is Atrax, Lord of Spiders.
Ever since she was a child, she'd devoted herself to spend all her days in the library studying magic, incantations, curses, and many other spells. She was gifted her very own Grimoire on her 10th birthday which she began filling with the spells she'd learned.
On her 12th birthday she would recieve her first familiar, Mara; A spider familiair gifted to her by the families benefactor Atrax, Lord of Spiders.
Growing up, other kids would avoid her in school due to her family name and use of black magic, so she started avoiding others herself, becoming wary of others intentions when they'd approach her.
In her second year of middle school, a boy around her age transferred into her school and become her next door neighbor. Due to his quiet but friendly and open minded nature, they became best friends.
On a road trip with Jian and his family, they got into a tragic car accident resulting in his and his parents death. Unable to bear his death, she used all of her magic to perform a resurection spell on him, collapsing afterwards from exhaustion and awakening later to a zombied Jian by her side.
After her sister Annrietta found out about Jian shortly after his resurection, Annrietta convinced Maria to tell their parents, after which she was scolded for not telling them sooner. The decision to take him in was made, where he now lives with her and her family.
Now in college, she has mastered and learned many forms of magic, becoming an a-list witch of dark magic. She still studies magic as much as she did when she was younger, and still keeps to herself, but has opened up more thanks to her childhood friend Jian who has stayed by her side.
After the accident that happened resulting in Jian and his parents death, she has devoted a lot of her time to finding a way to bring him back to how he was before. As she feels guilty for selfishly bringing him back to a life where he has to hide what he is, never being able to grow old or enjoy the things he used too the same way.
