"If we are going to die anyways, we may as well make sure we live while we can."

-History from before playing D&D-

Bellaluna had always had the need to hide, her family taught her at a young age that others were not to be trusted. Avariel Elves are hunted for their wings, as the wings have high demand. Wealthy women like the feathers to decorate their mirrors, wizards like to use their wings in spells, and DMs think wings are too overpowered. Bella wanted to travel though, she hated hiding and wanted to see and go places, as well as make many animal friends along the way. When she was old enough to go out on her own, she left in secret. (Her parents never would have let her go, as her older brother had left once and was immediately captured.) She had saved up her gold for years and so the first thing she wanted to do was go and buy supplies. After hiding her wings so she could purchase what she wanted without drawing attention to herself, she found all that she wanted before finding a Donkey. She knew she must have the donkey and so she bought her too, along with a saddle and some saddle bags for it, knowing the donkey would be able to graze and feed itself. Bella had been trained in archery as a child, and so her weapon of choice was a bow and some arrows.

-Start of actually playing D&D-

Not long after starting her journey in the mountains, a pair of Orcs spotted her and attacked her with means of either capturing her and selling her into slavery to someone who would likely kill her for her wings, or just killing her for her wings. Bella only had a dagger for a close range weapon, and so she would have been captured had not a random stranger passing by spotted the event and dove in to help. This gave Bella the opportunity to fly up and use her bow. The Orcs tried to strike her down by throwing daggers at them, but Bella was able to dodge them all. Bella left the battle unharmed, however the hero, whom Bella found was named Katari, was greatly injured by the fight. They decided to find a camp and spend the night in one another's company. They slept for only a short while though, as they were awakened by the howling of a wolf. Katari spotted it first, and seemed to have the intentions of killing it as she had her sword, but Bella wanted to take a more peaceful approach. She offered the wolf some ration food and sat on the ground near it. Soon she had the wolf tamed and taught it two tricks, lie down and come. After taking it back to her camp, she found out it was a male and decided on the name Romulus. The rest of the night, they slept peacefully. The next day, Katari spotted a red dragon flying overhead. The two began to become excited, knowing they were in the right place for dragons. After packing up camp and venturing around for a bit, they ran into a gnome. The gnome informed the two travelers that they were, indeed, in the area that dragons are found, but if they wanted to find a silver dragon, they would have to venture further up into the mountains. Bella, knowing going higher would mean also it would be colder, asked the gnome if the gnome knew of any villages nearby that they could purchase supplies from. The gnome told them that they could travel to his village, but they would have to earn the gnome's trust. To do that, they would have to venture into the forest down at the base of the mountain, and bring back food, as his village was going through a famine. The two agreed and set out to find food. Along the way they spotted what seemed to be a giant ant, and Bella suggested they go around it, in case it had hive mind. Later, they encountered a cheetah, which they killed and cooked, as they didn't want to use up all their rations. While they were cooking and preparing for the night, they heard the sound of something grinding, and soon found a goblin gnawing on a bone. Worried the goblin would come to attack them later, as it was so close to their camp, they thought it safest to get rid of it. When they shot arrows at it, it didn't seem to care that it was being injured, but as soon as Katari stepped forward to use her sword, the goblin attacked her. Luckily, Bella was able to finish it of with her bow. After many days of travel, the two girls reached the forest. They immediately found berries and Bella identified them as safe to eat. They harvested the berries, filling up some of the bags, but they decided to venture into the forest in hopes of finding more food for the gnome and his village. While searching for food, Bella and Katari came across a seemingly abandoned camp site. It seemed strange, and after a bit of scouting around, they found a leopard in a tree eating a humanoid creature. Bella sent an arrow flying, missing it completely, and Katari sent a cross bolt, which also missed. However, catching the Leopard off guard gave Bella the opportunity to shoot again, hitting it right in the neck and killing it instantly. After skinning the leopard, Katari looked around the camp and found a backpack. Going over to check it, she was suddenly shot in the back. Bella threatened the creature that shot Katari, saying she would do the same thing to him as she had done to the leopard if he didn’t disarm himself immediately. The goblin emerged from his hiding place and apologized to Katari. Bella and Katari learned that his friends had been kidnapped by some Orcs. Bella took pity on the goblin, and begged Katari to help him. Katari agreed, and the two set out to search for the goblin’s lost friends.
