After a battle with Orcs where Katari saved Bella and the two became allies, they went to rest for the night so Katari could heal from her wounds. Not long later, they were awoken by howling noises. Katari spotted the source first, a black wolf howling at the moon. Without thinking beyond not wanting Katari to lash out and attack the wolf, Bella grabbed a food ration from her bag, flew over near the wolf, landed, and offered part of the ration to it. The wolf stopped howling, and after many lucky actions (AKA many high dice rolls) Bella is able to successfully tame the wolf, as well as teach the wolf two tricks, lay down and come. Bella took the wolf back to her camp, where she found the wolf was a male, and went on to name him Romulus.

Bellaluna Zyllynn Bella is Romulus's friend. After a long time spent on Bella's part taming Romulus, she was able to tame and slightly train him. Bella loves animals in general, and wanted a dog since she was young, and found Romulus's appearance as a good thing to balance out the bad of her just being attacked to be sold into slavery for her wings. She is so glad Romulus decided to join her and be her friend.
