Analysis: 

A veteran of the Gravel Wars, Director has served Blutarch the past decade and has risen to his position thanks to his merit alone. As a result of his accomplishments during his service, Director was given his now namesake position which grants him complete authority over all of the stealth and espionage operations of Builders League as well as the selection process and training for the Espionage Operations branch he oversees. He is renowned as a curt but competent leader who is highly respected by his subordinates and is frequently propagandised as a symbol of BLU’s strength.

Lore:

When he was only a mid-ranking officer in BLU’s military, Director forbade his son from following in his footsteps. Despite this, his son did so anyway and was hired by Builders League as a soldier. After being deployed to the frontline of a campaign under the tactical command of Marshal, Director’s son would lose his life during a reckless offensive push that resulted in a Builders League victory at heavy losses. Director would go on to resent Marshal after discovering the commanding officer felt no remorse for the loss of Director's son, stating that he had done his duty. Following that incident, Director opened his eyes to the corruption inherent in Builders League’s command structure and vowed to work from the shadows to change it from within.

He went on to use his newly-acquired power to enlist into his own organisation within BLU in order to ensure only those loyal to him and his ambitions would serve in his branch, the most notable of which was Director’s loyal subordinate and bodyguard Liquidator. Eventually, he was contacted by a rogue RED official known only as “Overlord” who proposed that Director join him in his campaign to change RED and BLU from within, remarking that RED faced a similar plague of nepotism and corruption as BLU. He promised that Director would have vengeance on the man responsible for his son’s murder and riled up Director’s fear and hatred in order to manipulate him further. Director agreed and became a founding member of the secret group known as BLURRED.
