Appearance
Khayri is a wild type axolotl with speckled dark skin and ice blue eyes. He has dark speckles on his ferns, shoulders, elbows, knees, tail and under his bellybutton. He wears several colourful scarves secured with a golden headband over his long, dark brown hair. He wears a top that reveals his torso and a large, striped scarf. His baggy, grey pants are secured with a blue sash around his waist and he wears no shoes. Around his neck, he wears a collar with a buckle to clip his leash to. He has several piercings: An upper nose piercing, a vertical labret piercing, piercings on his lower ferns, nipple piercings and a navel piercing. Khayri is 6"3/190cm and has a very muscular build.
Personality
Khayri comes off as stoic and serious, but he is actually a big softie who is overprotective of his master. To him, his master is the most important thing in the world so he doesn't really bother to pay attention to anything else. Because of this, it's rather hard to talk and get to know him. He chooses not to associate himself with others unless his master dictates him otherwise. He has an extremely dependent personality and needs for someone to tell him what to do always since he grew up that way. With his master, he acts like an overgrown puppy, playful and mischevious. When the safety of his master is in jeopardy, Khayri becomes very aggressive. He won't hesitate to attack anyone with bad intentions to protect his master and won't back down unless his master tells him so.
History
Khayri grew up in the wild in a swamp with his family. He was constantly wandering off as a child and often got lost. One day when he wandered off, he was kidnapped by poachers and taken away from his family. Since then, he has been sold and resold as pets for the rich, being passed around and abused for years. Because of his mistreatment, Khayri grew to be angry and aggressive, and in the end deemed unsuitable as a pet. He was tossed into a cell and barely given food, on the verge of death. As one last opportunity to try and get rid of him, his seller decided to put him out on the market one last time. It just so happened that a merchant was passing by and caught sight of the dying axolotl. The merchant, Zahir, took pity on the poor creature and decided to buy him. He nursed Khayri back to health and offered to let him go free. Overcome with gratefullness for his new master, Khayri pledged to be loyal to Zahir and follow him till the end of his life. Zahir wasn't too pleased at the fact, but decided to take Khayri along as a "pet" and assistant anyways.
Zahir
Zahir is Khayri's beloved master and his most important person. Not only did Zahir save him from the brink of death, he has given him a good new life. Khayri loves Zahir with all his heart and in his eyes, his master can do no wrong. He will go to great lengths to please and keep Zahir safe, to the point of risking his own life. He understands that Zahir finds him bothersome, but he tries his hardest to be of help and not cause him any inconvenience. Khayri doesn't really get why Zahir gives him so many presents, but since they're pretty, he'll decorate his body with them. As long as he has his master with him, he is perfectly content with not having a mate.
