the webmaster is a very large computer that watches over webspace, a world inhabited by files, programs, and processes. “watches over” is a bit of an understatement: the webmaster is webspace itself and has control over nearly all of its aspects. it’s undoubtedly the most important figure in its world, and is thus housed in central processing, a giant building under high security. only the most essential processes are permitted to open communications with it.
