As one of the founder members of SunGod, Orion Songbird is a busy and active man in both politics and missions. Him and Apollo tend to disagree often, but are friendly with each other, and would trust the other with their life. He respects her as a leader, but doesn't always follow her recommendations, much preferring to listen to his heart.

Orion is a towering figure at about 6'4" tall. He's heavily muscled and physically strong, mostly relying on his brute strength in fights. He's bald and always clean shaven, with dark, serious eyes. He's also always well dressed- a habit of his he hasn't dropped since leaving the Church of Bliss.

Orion is friendly, and wants to do his best to aid the younger groups of mercenaries wherever he can. He respects leadership but doesn't enjoy taking orders, which causes some contention between him and Apollo but never any hard feelings. His personal distate and shame for the Dark Powers means he opts not to use his powers whenever possible, and often is mistaken for being a Mortal instead of an Empowered.

Orion's birth was forseen by an Oracle at The Church of Bliss, who described him as "a powerful son of the Noctifer, though a man destined to fall short of destiny." He was born on the 18th of August, 1983, within the temple and raised there. There were hopes that he would become The Noctifer once he came of age, but even when young, Orion did not like that kind of responsibility on his shoulders. He was twenty when he decided that the Church of Bliss' beliefs did not line with his own. The constant push to become the Noctifer made him resent many of the members, and he knew that even if he wanted to become Him, he wasn't powerful enough to do so. He revoked the vow he took when he was thirteen with the Archpriest as witness, and set off to find a better life for himself elsewhere. He met a woman who called herself Apollo, a mortal who considered herself a friend of the Empowered. He quickly gained respect for her and joined her at protests and riots for all manners of social justice, and was beside her when the The England & Wales, Scottish, and Northern Irish Nexus of Justice granted her permission to set up the SunGod Corporation. Ever since, he's been working closely by her side, even if they often butt heads. They keep eachother perfectly in line.
