Does he have his own thoughts and actions? When he isn’t summoned, where does he go? We asked a question, and now this brought up too many more questions! Are you even listening to me??

Design Notes:

  • Una's hair is typically styled into a ponytail. When her hair is down, it goes down to her calves.
  • Una's peacock crown connects to the back of her head. Because of this, she cannot put her hair up too high.
  • Una can be drawn in any of the outfits she is seen wearing in Chimera Heart. Her casual outfits usually consist of simple and cute shirts with jeans or leggings, but she loves to dress up and do her hair and make-up as well. Personality:

Una is a calm and friendly girl, who enjoys the company of her friends more than anything. She is incredibly sociable, but is the closest to her best friend, Faji. Although she gets good grades, she tends to be a bit of an airhead sometimes.

Powers and Abilities:

It is currently unknown if Una has any natural powers due to her hybrid nature. However, Una is learning unnatural terrakinesis through a Basic Magics class at school. By using a "Bending Bracelet," she is able to control small amounts of rocks and dirt with her hands.

Backstory (Spoilers):

Una and Faji were born fully human. Growing up in West Star City, the two were the best of friends throughout their elementary years.

One day while walking home from school, Una and Faji find a flyer advertising a summer camp. At the time, Una was ten years old, and Faji was eleven. This camp didn’t seem entirely legitimate, but after begging their parents, the two were able to go. When the day came, Faji and Una boarded the camp bus, which, suspiciously, consisted of entirely human campers. Despite these concerns, the two didn’t think anything of it, and arrived at Camp Chameleon.

The first few days of camp went by normally, but on the fourth day, some campers would mysteriously leave the camp, with the counselors blaming illness for their sudden departure. Faji and Una vowed to stay by each other’s sides throughout the rest of camp.

One night, Faji left the cabin to go to the bathroom, and Una, hearing her leave, followed after her. When Una entered the bathroom, she discovered mysterious people dressed in white lab coats kidnapping Faji, and they quickly took Una too.

Una and Faji were taken to an unknown building and put separate rooms. Una was strapped down to a table, where she was injected with something before losing consciousness.

When Una came to, she found herself in a cell-like room. Upon looking in the mirror, she discovered that her hair and eyes, which were originally dark brown, were now a vibrant green, and she had a peacock’s crest sticking out of the back of her head. Una and Faji discover that their cells are next to each other, Faji reveals that she was also experimented on, and now had cat ears and a tail, along with her hair and eyes becoming a bright yellow.

The two of them devise a plan to escape, and a few days later, Faji is able to escape her cell by picking the lock with her claws, retrieve the keys, and unlock Una’s cell. Before the two can free anyone else, the two are spotted and have to make a run for it. They escape the building, but after running through the woods, they become cornered on the shore of a lake. Una, feeling a sudden surge in her chest, is able to summon a pair of wings and carry her and Faji across the lake to safety.

After they land, Una’s wings disappeared. Faji and Una found a road and were able to wave someone down to call for help. The Crest of the Stars were able to enter the camp, rescue the victims, and arrested those who were involved with the experiment, which was dubbed “Project Zoophobia.” This experiment aimed to give humans natural animal shapeshifting powers.

Una’s experimentation, along with her physical changes, gave her the ability to temporarily summon a pair of wings. However, she has only been able to use these wings once, and hasn’t been able to figure out how to get them to reappear since.

History in Chimera Heart (Spoilers):

Arc 1

Alongside her best friend, Faji, Una moves into House #13. When meeting the other housemates, Una introduces herself as a “peacock-human hybrid” which confuses Ita.

The next day is the first day of school. Unlike Ita’s excitable enthusiasm right after waking up, Una is still very sleepy, and falls asleep on the kitchen table. Once they arrive at school, Ita and Una figure out that they and Faji share a homeroom class. On the way to this class, Una asks about Ita’s full chimera form. Ita summons her snake tail, Noodle, which causes Una to scream in fear and ask a lot of questions about the logistics of Noodle’s existence.

During lunch, Una tells the group that she wanted to participate in volleyball and one act. After school, she plays checkers with Kokoro before seeing Yami’s message on the TV.

In Chapter 5, Una congratulates Ita after she makes the cheer team. They chat for a bit, getting on the topic of the Basic Magics class that they’re both taking. Una was assigned terrakinesis, but she would rather learn chlorokinesis. Nonetheless, she still teases Ita about dueling her once she learns terrakinesis, and jokingly says that she’s going to take her down.

After school the next day, the group discusses the nature of Mazenta’s status as a Non-Living being. When Mazenta mentions that she did some medical examinations through the Crest of the Stars, Una gets nervous for her, but Mazenta reassures her it was nothing major or intense.

In Chapter 7, Una attends the football game, dressed up to the student section theme of “neon.” She teases Taimu about not dressing up. After the game, Una receives a text from Kokoro, telling them that they have to walk home. On their way home, Una snickers at a joke that Faji cracks. When the group gets attacked by the shadow monster, Una watches in awe as Kashi and Ita shapeshift into their full chimera forms and fight it. She gets frozen by the ankles by Masuku, but is rescued by a trio of Starriors. After they are rescued, Una rushes to Faji, asking if she’s okay. This causes Faji to blush.

Arc 2

A couple weeks later, the lunchtime group is talking about homecoming dates. When Ita asks Una and Faji if they had dates, the two avert their eyes from each other and say they don’t. However, after school that day, Faji slips a note under Una’s bedroom door, asking her to be her homecoming date. Una smiles and returns the note, accepting Faji’s request.

Una and Faji go to homecoming together. During a slow dance, Faji is about to ask Una something, but the slow song ends, and Ita drags Faji away before she can ask the question. Una is confused, but amused. Later on, Una asks Faji was she was going to ask, but Faji says it wasn’t important.

Arc 3

In Chapter 18, during lunch at school, the gang is talking about Kokoro getting damaged. Una remarks that Taimu doesn’t get super emotional.

That night after Ita brings Taimu some dinner, she catches Una jumping off of her bed and into a pile of blankets and pillows on the floor. She awkwardly explains that she’s trying to learn how to use her powers. Ita asks about how Una would even know what her powers were, which leads Una to explain how her and Faji gained their animalistic features and abilities. After Una finishes her tale, Ita remarks that whatever is the cause of her powers probably doesn’t involve just jumping off of her bed.

Faji is Una's best friend. Although she and Faji have some blossoming romantic chemistry, Una is unaware of Faji's crush on her.

Ita is Una's friend and housemate. Because the two are both sophomores at Carnelian City High, they share a lot of the same classes.
