Grunkle

In the depths of the Under, Wendy and her team found Grunkle, a ruinously powerful shadow Pokemon, under the control of an influential Cipher admin. After freeing him from that admin, Grunkle reluctantly elected to join Wendy's team, as it was the most straightforward way to undo the criminal organization who thought they could use his power for their own ends. He did make the mistake of refusing to give Wendy's team his name, and so Peach dubbed him Grunkle, a nickname which, unfortunately, stuck.

Grunkle exudes an aura of power and misery that's obvious to his teammates and his enemies. Even purification didn't bring him peace, as Grunkle despises the deserts of Orre and the vast majority of the humans there. Despite that, though, he has grown a certain fondness for his teammates, though he would never admit it to them. Grunkle is driven to prove Cipher's folly in trying to control him, though the rest of his team often has to hold him back from flooding the entire desert.

Grunke's eyes are always pure white. His mane is dripping wet, no matter how dry it ought to be.
