Hard working • Determined • Strong

JD loves to meet new people and make friends, as it gets lonely on the farm. Talking to animals can only satisfy so much social interaction after all. He's friendly and is always welcome to coelunes passing through.

He isn't one to sit around and slack off. You'll always find him working and keeping himself busy. The only time he takes breaks is if he has company over, and even then he's likely to find something to do while he chats.

Early life

JD was born on the very sunny planet he called home. He had one older brother, and over the years he wound up with five younger brothers, all diurnals of different phases. When it came to kid number eight however, the family was shocked to find a nocturnal coelune pop out. The planet they lived on was known for its short and rare nocturnal cycles, so no one ever expected having a nocturnal child was even possible. Yet there they were, holding one very pale and gothic looking child.

JD tried his best to make sure Eclipse didn't feel too out of place. But he could tell they felt out of place, never quite comfortable around the family. The family worked together to maintain the farm, JD being the one to manage everyone with their chores and duties. He made sure the place kept running, but that didn't mean he wouldn't tussle with his brothers from time to time. As long as they got back on track, he didn't mind having a little fun.

Years passed, his brothers grew up (most of them taller than him much to his annoyance), the farm was still thriving, and everything was going good. Until one day, JD woke up and found Eclipse missing, a simple note left on the bed explaining they ran away and to not look for them. JD had none of it. He woke the whole family and they began searching high and low, calling friends and extended families for any information. They wound up empty handed, all heartbroken.

Moving out

A few years passed and JD realized he felt cooped up at home. He made the big decision to move away and start his own farm. His family was sad to see him go, but supported him all the way. While searching for a planet to settle down on, he did spend a little time searching for Eclipse (with no luck). He found a lush planet and decided this was a good start.

With the help of friends and family, he built his farm. He decided to mainly focus on livestock as he always found their company enjoyable. He loved his newly found freedom. After managing the family far for so long, he knew what to do and how to do it. His siblings visit frequently, complaining about how hard it is back home without him.

Unlikely guest

One day, while expanding his land, he dug up some off crystals. He contacted a local company to ask if someone could come check it out. They agreed and said someone would arrive shortly. When the ship touched down, two nocturnal coes stepped out. One he didn't recognize, but the other, to his shock, was Eclipse. the two stood there, taking in the situation. Eclipse had definitely changed over the years, really leaning into their gothic looks.

After a very long winded conversation, JD was brought up to speed about everything that happened, and he offered his support to his (now) sister. Despite the awkward start, they quickly fell back into their old dynamic back when they were kids, bickering and shoving each other as they talked. When it was time for the coes to leave, Eclipse promised she'd stay in touch. JD couldn't be happier to have his sister back.
