Introduction
❝ Woah, woah, it’s okay! You don’t have to worry about hiding how you feel. Not around me. ❞
Wren is a tiny western plains wildcat whose Kith consider her to be the heart and soul of the Windswept Moor. She is a social butterfly and adores spending time with other cats, quickly growing restless if left alone for too long. Wren will try to befriend anyone or anything in her line of sight; if there is no one around, she has no problem talking to trees or bugs. Though she is adored for her warm and bubbly personality, she is also quite spunky and fierce and won’t ever let anyone talk down to her or her friends.
Wren’s compassion is her greatest strength. She will go out of her way to make sure others feel included and that someone is looking out for them, and loves participating in her friends’ hobbies so she can understand them better. It is no surprise that she considers just about every cat in her colony to be one of her closest friends.

Trivia
- Her name Iki means “honey” in the old tongue.
- She and her sister Snail were raised by their aunt Windpiper after their mother passed away, their father following soon after. The three of them are incredibly close.
- Wren is aromantic and asexual, but is obsessed with others' romantic pursuits and the concept of soulmates. She has a strong desire to be a part of a platonic bonded pair, but has struggled to find someone who didn’t harbour romantic expectations or a desire to start a family, something she holds no interest in. By the end of the story, she finds this partner in Cherry.
- She hates fighting and colony war culture, and is adamantly a pacifist.
- Wren knows almost every piece of gossip or secret in the colony and is clever enough to remember each nuance of what has been told to her in confidence versus what is okay to share. She is a great confidant as she will take others’ secrets to her grave.
- Her sister, Snail, has criticized her for keeping others’ secrets when it might be more beneficial for someone else to know; in Snail’s case it was the knowledge that herself and another cat, Swift, were both interested in one another romantically. Though Wren tries to convince them to get together, they were unable to before Swift was tragically killed.
- Like other western plains wildcats, often referred to as “bobtails”, she has more domestic cat blood than other new-age wildcats, and is also quite a bit smaller. Even for her breed, Wren is one of the smallest cat in the Hinterland Valley colonies, standing at 14in (35.5cm) and weighing 15lbs (6.8kg).
- Wren is one of, if not the fastest cat in the Windswept Moor and the Hinterland Valley colonies as a whole, aided in part by her hind legs being significantly longer than her front legs. She can consistently run at 65km/h (40.3mp/h) and reach sprinting speeds of 82km/h (51mp/h).
