Having spent a number of months after high school moving away to her new school, she has gotten some distance from her old friends. For the longest time, Mizuki has felt out of place and lonely; her parents don't approve of her hobbies in fashion and other things, so she has always felt that she has to hide it.
She feels distant from her old friends but when they get in the same class at university, they start talking again; Mizuki, having now gotten a job modeling, feels even more out of place than before.
In the midst of all this, she meets first an interesting classmate, an enigmatic young person by the name of Luka. And soon after, she meets one of her idols - a famous model named Rui. She cannot help but notice how similar they both are.

Mizuki feels incredibly insecure about her own hobbies, so she does everything she can to hide them around those she doesn't already know have the same hobbies as her out of fear of getting judged.
It has caused her to retreat into a shell, living a life that's somewhat a lie. She's naturally avoidant of talking about her personal life.
She always puts on a cheerful front even when things are bothering her, and it causes her friends to worry about her a lot.
She has a tendency to say embarrassing things when she's flustered. In relationships, she tends to be a bit selfish and likes to be pampered.

A curious person that Mizuki meets on her first day of class; she is instantly drawn to Luka's strange demeanor and unreadable face, wondering what might be going on inside her head.
Later, she also meets Rui, who gets her out of a troublesome situation. She instantly feels something strangely familiar, but does not dare make the obvious connection in her head.
However, the two of them do enter a romantic relation regardless of all the things going on.

Her two "best friends" from high school. Mizuki doesn't think that she deserves to call them that, as she has not yet found it in herself to trust them enough to open up.
It's not for a lack of trying on their end; but Mizuki is just not in a place where she's ready to be that open yet.

Ibuki is the owner and designer for the clothing store where Mizuki works; it's a small place, but she adores their clothing and always has ever since they started making it, so she is honored to have gotten the job as model. Ibuki is like a parent to her, and treats her well.
Iori is her single other coworker, who is also a model for the brand. She is a bit older and treats Mizuki much like a younger sibling. Mizuki imagines that if she were to have had a sister, she would've loved for them to just be just like Iori.
- She wears mostly skirts, and when she does, she wears them short as short as she can get away with. She's already really short, so longer skirts make her look ridiculous. Either her skirts are modified to look shorter, or she rolls them up and hides it under her shirts.
- If it was allowed at school, she would wear platform shoes 24/7, but alas, it was not to be. However, as soon as she's out of the uniform, 9 times out of 10, she will be wearing a pair of ridiculous platforms, probably pink ones, too. Anything to give her that little extra height advantage.
- She loves doing her hair; she has all manner of bows, scrunchies, hair ties, and anything in between. She likes doing braids, simpler styles, and even ponytails. Her hair is very fluffy so it can take a while to tame it to get it into the style she wants, but she refuses to give up on it once she gets an idea in her head.
