sunny isnt really sure if she would qualify as 'popular'. sure, she's probably talked to everyone in her grade, and its not like they hate her, but... it never felt real.
sunny first met cara the same day they got stuck, at detention. cara definitely didnt like sunny then. after shenanigans of finding a magic hand mirror and getting stuck (work in progress) they find themselves inside a strange clock tower and there they both meet liza, unofficial leader of shadesbury.
when sunny first met cara she tried her hardest to act like she did with everyone else- friendly, smile-y, funny. but... it just didnt work. eventually, cara yelled at her and told her to leave her alone, sunny finally yells back and runs off. after this incident, they work things out together and get closer. a lot closer. super close. wink.
although sunny isnt as close to liza as cara is, she still looks up to her a lot as this nice cool older girl, and theyr good friends !!
while cara first met rosita while she was sent to get rid of the town, sunny had met her a bit beforehand, while rosita was trying to figure something out. sunny got the idea that she was just a bit mysterious, but not malicious, and kind of nice, like a weird sibling. when she saw her again, it was a shock. after that, she had no clue what to think of her
