Jewels is an ancient that survived global ascension by hiding in the premises of her nearest iterator, and now scrapes with what she can get in the broken world her kind left behind. In the past, she was a scientist, working especifically with purposed organisms and their rather special means of evolution, which gave her an upper hand in understanding the world she found herself in.

Jewels is a nostalgic individual that never shuts up. She reminisces about her lost times often and feels very strong emotions sorrounding her own consequences and the world around her. She is someone who deeply cares about everything and everyone, but also someone that lost a lot of it. She is a protector by consequence and a caretaker by nature.

Jewels is also one to not follow rules often and follow whatever her heart and mind agree that is best. This became abundantly clear when she refused to ascend in multiple occasions and even escaped global ascension. Although this event was also influenced by her fear of ascension, since she feels herself extremely tied into the world still, and doesn't want to take any steps into losing that connection.

She is pretty inteligent and innovative aswell, although she often used to get stuck into a path of looking for a feeble perfection. She wanted to often make an impact on the world with her inventions and ideas, but felt always extremely short of it.

Hopes and Dreams
The biggest unrealistic dream she has is to return to the times before global ascension, and to live among her peers again. Other than that, like all of her kind she hopes for a way for universal ascension to be found, and that all creatures will get to ascend on their own terms.
Fears
Most of all, she fears the Void and the Void Sea, due to her being convinced she will become an echo if she ever was to step foot in it. She also is slightly terrified of the possibility of any iterators finding out about her existence and her place in the world, due to having heard their communications and their opinions about her kind.

Jewels is pretty short for an ancient, but still stands taller than some creatures of rain world. She also has a longer tail than most ancients, and a lot less jewelry than normally used, due to losing most to the harsh enviroments of the surface. She also has the hooked feet seen in some of the ancients paintings.

Clothing
Her clothing consists mostly of a dull grey cloak and some undergarments that are also pretty dull in color, to her distaste. This choice of clothing was not an intentional one, and instead a matter of circumstance. She used to wear pretty colorful attires gilded with gold in ancient times, but had since had to opt for her recent more practical style due to that fragile clothing having been torn apart by the rain and the ruins.
Body Markings
Like most ancients, she has various body markings throughout her body. They are a light blue (the same color as her eyes), and come mostly in square shapes, with not too many soft curves. The only part of her body without any markings is her face, which she always makes sure to keep covered.
Accessories
She wears a gold mask like most other ancients. It has a long beak with two husk-like things to the side and pearls hanging in the back. She also wears two shoulder pads with intricate patterns and pearls hanging at the end of them, a sort-of back protector made of gold in the upper part of her back and neck, and two pairs of thick golden bracelets in each of her arms.

AGC,SSC used to be Jewels' partner in the times where the cities were still populated and the ancient civilization was thriving. They used to be pretty close, despite having wildly different career paths and life aspirations. Their relantionship was also a pretty lenghty one, extending through various cycles and lifetimes.

Crown decided to ascend some time after the Void Fluid Revolution and the discovery of ascension via Void Fluid, leaving Jewels to try to learn how to mourn and deal with feelings she has never known before.

Jewels and Abundance's relationship is a complicated one, that slowly changes with time as they spend more and more time together. Jewels always held a lot of respect for him, even before the times the times they actually met in person, mostly because Abundance was pretty important for the prosperity of their city. They were pretty much "trapped" with eachother for a lot of their relantionship, although Abundance seemed to mind that a lot more than Jewels did. They also pretty much saved eachother, in one way or another. Jewels was the one to fix Abundance's little nutrient problem, due to having the ability of going to the city and interacting with physical objects outside of a puppet chamber. Abundance saved Jewels in a much more metaphorical way, giving her a purpose and an anchor to hold onto.

Silly little slugcat that Jewels met a few times. They are an interesting mystery for her to think about, due to their adaptation being completely natural. She hasnt been able to take a closer look though, mostly due to the slugcat seemingly always finding themselves in trouble.
