Michi has ivory-lime colored hair with blue undersides & highlights towards the ends, usually tied up into two thin braids while the rest of his hair remains curly. Her left eye is violet colored, while the right is magenta.
02 — Personality
Michi is very caring and loves to dote on others. He has a childish-fun energy and sometimes it overshadows how perceptive she actually is. She loves listening to others talk about their interests and often looks into it more to get to know the other better. Michi doesn’t have very good memory and forgets small things a lot, so she carries around a small notepad with her almost all the time. He’s very optimistic and friendly to the point where people in the past have found him annoying for being “fake” or an attention seeker, as they assumed she was being ditsy on purpose.
Michi does most of the cooking at his house, as his sister is a terrible cook and both his parents are out working often, and when they're home, she knows that they've both had a long day. Therefore, Michi has learned to prepare meals for herself and others, and loves to make special lunches for the people she cares for. In his free time, he likes to scrapbook his favorite memories with cute stickers and tape.
Because of her home situation, she has always tried to brighten up her life by bringing positivity to others. While it is partly a coping mechanism, Michi is in no way forcing himself to be cheerful, and is generally just someone who likes to view the joys in life, although he does have his limits. Since elementary school, there have been others who see her as a people-pleaser because of how optimistic she is, and because of his poor memory and clumsy way of learning new things, many assumed he was just seeking attention. It didn't help that Michi had a very distinct fashion style, making him more estranged from her peers. Hoshiko used to comfort her and motivate him to stay strong, so Michi has gotten good at not letting the comments get to her.

03 — Background
Family
Michi used to live with her biological mother, father, and older sister. He was exposed to the fashion industry at a young age, as his older sister, Hoshiko, was a model, and Michi was soon training to be one as well. She grew to love fashion and cosmetics, and would always sneak into her older sister's room to try on her clothes and make up, much to his mother's disapproval. In his mother's eyes, Michi was to be "cool", not "cute", and she would not tolerate Michi "dressing up like a girl". She became verbally and physically abusive towards Michi, which played a part in his parents divorcing.
Despite this, Michi remained close with Hoshiko and her father. His father remarried a few years after the divorce, and Michi has tried his best to close the gap between him and his stepmother. She loves her a lot, but still struggles with the hole her mother left and suffers from PTSD, specifically intrusive memories. Michi looks up to Hoshiko, and has always admired her confidence and strength. Hoshiko had also been victim to their mother who ignored and perpetuated her eating disorder, and Michi knows just how much she had to go through. The two are very close, and he developed his love for makeup because of her. On the other hand, Michi's father was unaware of the abuse taking place due to him being at work very often. When everything was found out and the divorce was finalized, he carried a lot of guilt that led him to turn to alcohol. While he isn’t severely addicted, Michi worries about her father a lot and does her best to take care of him, and although they are on good terms, Michi still feels a bit of lingering bitterness from the past. He doesn't blame him for what happened, but can't help but feel like a father should be there for their child when they need it the most.
Pre-Yumenosaki
It was Michi's sister who first brought up the idea of being an idol to him when he was in elementary school. Realizing he had a talent for singing and the charisma needed in an idol, she encouraged Michi to pursue this new dream. Michi was enamored by the idea of becoming an idol, and would train in her bedroom secretly since young. In junior high, his sister recommended him to enroll in Yumenosaki, yet Michi hesitated to tell her father about her choice, as her mother had always wanted her to pursue modeling. His sister helped him build up courage to ask his father, and was relieved to hear that she had his full support.
Etymology
Michi’s name consists of the characters 未 (mi - not yet) and 知 (chi - knowledge), meaning “unknown” or “not yet known”. The original spelling of her name was 道 (michi - road). She changed it to 未知 because he felt that it suited him more.
04 — Trivia
-
Michi has several moles on his body, which he used to despise when he was younger. However, Hoshiko would tell her they were like stars, and would draw constellations on Michi's face using makeup to cheer her up. Michi has grown to love herself more because of this.
