About
A monstrous creature that has lived for centuries, Ghrudar is known to be a frightening and troublesome foe. His skin is scarred and tough like well-worn armour, his fur rough and short. With a seemingly endless appetite, he is capable of eating literally anything from meat to metals and rocks, and even toxic substances. His mouth and innards glow with a ghastly green hue, and he is capable of breathing fire (which can change color depending on what he consumes.) He is also partially able to adjust the level of acidity in his body to accommodate for the variety of foods he consumes.
Few know him by name for he seldom speaks to the mortal beings. A renegade of a monster, Ghrudar is feared by mortals and hated by other demons and the creatures of the night. He has no goals, no cares or responsibilities. His only desire as it seems is to feed endlessly on anything or anyone that crosses his path. Wandering aimlessly in the most forested areas of the land, he is always in search of his next meal. Because he is also extremely lazy when it comes to hunting, he often takes to feeding on farms or small towns. Due this monstrous demeanor, he is seen as nothing but a mindless beast which brings only destruction and death. Many have attempted to kill or “appease” him, but all have perished; even those who have stalked him extensively to learn his weaknesses in the end find themselves within his jaws.
It was by chance somehow that a particular feline woman named Inaya became one of the few Beings who ever understood Ghrudar and brought his chaotic behaviour to a halt. Though, their relationship began as slave and master essentially. In order to stay alive, Inaya struck a bargain with him to spare her in exchange for her service, acting as bait to attract and distract unsuspecting prey, and leading them to Ghrudar. At that point in time, he had no concern or care for her in the slightest except that she keep her promise of service. Time elapsed and they became strangely dependant on each other; Ghrudar would become soft toward her and eventually even develop feelings for her (though he is quite unaware himself). In an attempt to protect her, he finally set her free and no longer wished for her enslavement. To his surprise, she willfully returned.
Through many trials together and finally having a companion at his side, Ghrudar begins to see humanity in himself. Having only seen himself as a monster up until now, the change of having to learn social interactions, communication, kindness, and not eating everything is laborious to him. Ghrudar however finds himself willing to become something better for his new partner. And despite their relationship being taboo, the two come to care greatly for each other, and continue attempting to live peacefully away from society.
Relationships
[ Mate ]
Inaya is a quick-witted, diligent fighter and talker, but tends to make costly compromises. They met on strange and hostile terms, but grew significantly close after a year of traveling together. Both her and Ghrudar have been treated as outsiders for the greater part of their lives and found comfort in each other despite being so vastly different.
