"Polaris", also known as the North Star, is the brightest star in the constellation of Ursa Minor.

When a heart beats, Polaris knows it’s for him.
Stage lights blink on. Bursts of confetti and sparkles defining the theater edges. The deafening cheers of an eager audience – a wave of arms and flailing hands. This is all he cares for: the sheer excitement and adoration; the tremble of his bones with each beat of music; the two bodies moving with him; the overwhelming fame and reputation. The thrill of the performance surges life into his veins.
To be an idol, he thinks, is to be loved unconditionally. He has thought this for a long time, many times. Sometimes, Polaris wonders if he could be wrong.
When the lights dim, and fog dispels, Polaris is left with nothing –
(He often dreams of an empty stage, with a full-length mirror standing solemnly in the center. The reflection is not himself – it is never himself – and the fact never changes. Neither of them makes eye contact. The mirror whispers something about pipe dreams and Polaris wakes up in cold sweat every time, every time.)
– and that is why he must have everything. Everyone. Their hearts, their thoughts. Polaris basks in the undivided attention his fans give him. Lounges among the compliments and praise. Lathers himself in the offerings of others. Swallows eagerly the molasses affections of his loving crowds. An endless stream of endearment just for him.
Polaris never speaks of himself. The fashionable strut is as distant as it is professional. A cool turn of head, courteous smile, and a gentle laugh. An even tone and gentle musing begets nothing to his peers and even less to his fans. Masses fall in love with a charming grin and a starstruck name – and that’s how he likes it.
They will never need to know his real name. Who he was before. His longing and desperation. How his guts turn with yearning. How a firebrand lit inside his throat. How the sunset leaves him starving and frantic. The fleeting ambitions he gallops after in nightmares alone. How those dreams always escape him.
(He knows there are those out there who cannot be trapped by his thrall – those immune to the languid decline of his voice. It is those he craves the most. Those he hungers for every waking night. Those who he will devour, eventually.)
Those two hearts that always beat beside him – Polaris aches for them.

- Polaris is the leader and member of a Stygian idol group called『NAMELESS』, along with two others: Leanan Sidhe and Tenbuki.
- He strictly goes by his stage name, Polaris, and very rarely tells others of his birth name. He will rarely respond if referred to by his birth name.
- Additionally, he seems incredibly stingy about personal information and rarely divulges parts of his past or of himself in conversation.
- A rather talented singer, Polaris likes to entrap his audiences with his smooth, honeyed voice. It's quite effective.
- Whether it's due to him being of the Carnivorous subspecies...he seems to be rather interested in eating other Stygians. As such, he's often found nibbling on Stygian he is fond of - especially his fellow group members..
A fellow group member. Polaris seems particularly doting over him and is usually spotted trying to nibble on one of Tenbuki's ears. When not trying to chew off a part of Tenbuki, he tries to simply take up their time.
A fellow group member. Polaris values Leanan's company and skill highly, and will often be seen planning out the next album's instrumentals with her. He seems to, somehow, find her loud volume and crassness endearing.
Their rarely seen, and even more rarely mentioned, older sibling. Whether or not they have a positive relationship is unclear, and Polaris seems to neglect mentioning them altogether.
As much as Polaris likes to learn about other people, he fully enjoys talking about others. Since exchanging a few morally questionable conversations with Marion, he's regularly spotted in her gardens.
A Sylph he's met a few times in the past - though nothing outstanding. They come occasionally to his shows. Polaris doesn't consider Joonki very interesting - but thinks it's rather cute when they sing along at concerts.
