Profile

Name: Suwa Chinatsu (last name, first name)
Age: Over 300 years
Species: kitsune/okami hybrid

Chinatsu is rather highly strung zenko fox with a stuck up attitude. She considers humans to be lesser and not worth her time, despite her duty as a shrine guardian. It stems from observing humans for a long time; seeing how cruel and two faced they can be and their lack of loyalty to the gods. Due to this she has very high standards for offerings and is rather hard to bargain with. She is also incredibly vengeful and when the humans of her area stopped caring for the shrine she resides at, she cursed the entire town causing famine, disease and death. Her unforgiving nature has caused many humans to die over the years as she will kill whoever she needs to in order to get even, no matter how small the slight or big the damage caused. Her hatred can cause generations of humans to suffer.

Despite her cruelty she can display kindness to those she feels deserve it, partially children of lesser means as they remind her of her own past. She has also shown to be respectful to those who treat her in kind. However her reputation as a vengeful spirit causes many to fear her and so she remains closed off from others.

Chinatsu did not start her life as a zenko fox and was raised to her current status by a nine-tailed zenko after they took pity on her.

Meanings:
Zenko means "good fox" and are associated with kami Inari.
Suwa was originally a family of priests who served at the Suwa Grand Shrine. Suwa Yorishige's daughter Lady Koi was said to be the "incarnation of the white fox-spirit of the Suwa Shrine, who had bewitched him [Takeda Shingen] in order to gain revenge" for the death of her father.
Chinatsu means "knowledge" and "summer" when written with the correct kanji characters.
