• HighRoad - these two are friends, they enjoy similar things and are both rather friendly anyway so they mesh together quite well. HighRoad is the louder of the two.
• Shingles - Lightning's ex amica endura. These two were very close and Lightning would always do her best to support her friend. When Shingles died she was devastated.

Abilities:

• Suspected outlier abilities - she can generate electricity within her body which can be used to create electric shocks; sometimes she is able to shoot off bolts of electricity from her body much like a lightning bolt. She is also unaffected by high voltage that would normally kill a Cybertronian.
• Lightning Edge has great resistance to heat; this is protection against the thermal energy that is produced as electricity moves through her body.
• Her concealed wrist blades can be electrified for extra damage.

Personal information: Lightning Edge is timid and soft spoken. When meeting strangers she is shy and doesn't speak much but once she's comfortable in someones presence she will speak openly. She can be quite stern when put in a serious medical situation (e.g. when operating) as her desire to help overwrites her nervous nature. She dislikes being praised and thinks she is undeserving of it, her confidence can be quite low at times and once she hits her lowest point it can last an indefinite amount of time. This ebb in her mood can cause her to be unmotivated and passive. Most of the time however she tries her best to hide it from others and continue on as if nothing is wrong. Lightning also has a tendency to push herself too much, overworking herself to the point of collapse.

When she is around those she's comfortable with her bubbly personality comes forth. Lightning Edge is there to offer support and encouragement to those she feels needs it. She will always do her best to lighten the mood and help everyone out. Any jobs that need doing she'll be there to help out. Helping others is her top priority even if it means neglecting her own needs and well-being.

During the rare moments when she loses her temper, her “ear” fins will glow and split apart, electricity shooting between the gaps. These fins react a lot like animal ears, for example when she is sad they lower and when happy they sit up straight. Sometimes they will tilt in the direction of noises. They are mostly held in a neutral position and are quite sensitive to sound and touch. Should someone touch her fins they’ll get a nasty shock.

Lightning has a stern belief that a medic’s duty is to help those who need it, no matter who they are or what they've done; because of this she is neither an Autobot or a Decepticon and will help others no matter what. Many consider her naive since not everyone will be so grateful after receiving treatment.

She is a capable combatant (she can fight but not as well as more experienced fighters) and uses her small frame to her advantage; she is able to zip around the battle field at unexpected speeds, however she isn't able to take much damage. Her vehicle mode isn't fast due to being a helicopter but is more precise in movement. This alt mode helps when she needs to carefully move patients (this also applies for collecting patients) or when she needs to do a thorough search of an area. This may require hovering in one place for quite some time or very slowly moving around.

History: Lightning Edge's origins are murky and no one really knows what she did before she showed up at the Gladiatorial ring in Koan with her friend Shingles. When asked she states that she simply lived on the streets and gained her medical knowledge from dealing with Shingles and other Cybertronians' injuries. Shingles, who was her Amica Endura, wanted to join the fights in order to get more credits so he could give himself and Lightning a better life. She disagreed but supported him anyway and every time he came back injured she fixed him up to the best of her abilities. Eventually she was recruited by the ring to be a medic there and she accepted, mainly for her friends benefit. During her time there she became a decent medic and continued to learn.

For a time things were fine until one fight went badly for Shingles and he was brutally killed in the arena. Lightning was distraught by his death but couldn't leave the arena as she knew she would be hunted down and killed; so she reluctantly stayed there. Eventually she was able to come to terms with his death and swore to only remember him as he lived and not as he died.

When the Decepticon uprising began Lightning stayed behind on Cybertron for a short time to care for the injured civilians but eventually left with a group of neutrals. For a long time she simply drifted from place to place caring for others and improving her medic skills. At some point she arrived at Delphi and helped there before leaving again. When Cybertron was restored she returned only to be disappointed. Not with the condition of the planet but by the unease and tension surrounding the people. She resumed  her medic duties and helped many bots, regardless of their faction, but is considering her future very carefully...

Extra: 

• Lightning has a type of genetic anomaly in that she has a extra "organ" that is used to generate and store electricity. Should her electricity levels become to low she will struggle to function correctly (e.g. she'll be very sluggish, unable to see correctly etc.) and should she exhaust her supplies she will die.
• Lightning has visited earth before and often refers to things in human terms. She also has a love of earth music and dance.
