Josh feels the world very intensely, when he laughs, he laughs with his whole chest, when he’s sad, he’s straight-up depressed, when he has his bursts of anger you better believe you’ll be aware, when he’s scared, he’s terrified. His Borderline Personality Disorder makes it so that everything seems black and white, from his emotions to his relationships to life in general; although he’s gotten better at seeing the greys, healing isn’t linear, and he still slips up sometimes.

It's a little hard to get him to genuinely care about you on a personal level, however, when he cares, he cares deeply. He would do absolutely anything and everything for his loved ones, he’s very protective of them, and even if it’s still hard for him to open up and be vulnerable with them, he is more comfortable being himself, more genuine, hell, I’d even say he’s a really sweet guy once you get to know him… But that’s when he lets you see that part of him, he’s usually pretty sarcastic, witty, a little rude (very rude with people he doesn’t like), and emotionally distant.

He's very self-conscious about many aspects of himself, no matter how tough he tries to make himself look; his mental illness, his dyslexia, his scars, they all bear weight in his mind at all times, they all fuck up his self-esteem, but the one thing he’s the most self-conscious about is his past, his case became pretty well-known in his area, so he’s constantly paranoid about being recognized and asked about it, he hates to be pitied.

He has strong core values and he’s not afraid to fight for what’s right and stand up whenever he sees an injustice happening, even resorting to violence if necessary. He tends to be pretty rigid in his mentality, which can be a good thing as well as a very negative trait, he does not take criticism well most of the time and he’s also very impulsive in his actions.
