It's hard to miss Pearl when you're in a room with her; her eagerness to chat and inability to stay in one place for long has given her a positive, albehit airheaded reputation among her peers. Always working with a smile on her face, Pearl makes an effort each day to do one of, if not all three of the following: learn something new, make someone smile, and solve a problem. Through grit and determination, her sights are set high to rise through the ranks of the Archaeologist's Guild and become one of the first Undyre to reach the Custom Rank status, and bringing with her a new era for her fellow Undyre to aspire to in the wake of the Tonpelli Tech War.

It's important to note despite her chatterbox nature, Pearl truly is an academic at heart. Most of her time, when not spent surrounded by her peers and cheerleading their research, is spent filling her journal to completion. It never leaves her side, being a gift from Brilla of the Eisgar during her return venture to Tonpelli. She cites it as one of the main reasons she joined the Mainland Guilds, and hopes to use it as a centerpiece for her research as she climbs the Archaeologist ranks.

Having grown up on the coast of Mino Ami alongside her parents, Pearl’s early life was simplistic, but lovely. As the only child of a scholar and a professor, much of her time was spent reading and listening to the excited rambling of her parents, freely enjoying the luxury of knowledge many sought after and studied for years.

Her desire to follow in her parents footsteps was apparent from the moment she could write, Pearl taking the initiative to join the Architects Company as soon as she was offered. The work of a researcher and scholar called to her, filling her days with exploration and conversation with the locals, and winding down in the evening to her welcoming collection of ancient tomes and books.

More than anything, she wanted to bring her family the same sense of pride as her family brought to her and their company. Everyone, including herself, thought the best place for her to start was the Technology Fair, believing the new wave of Tech Touched Undyre would be a lovely band to converse with, and begin researching and note taking the incredible progress that had been made in their homeland.

Pearl is undoubtedly one of the lucky Undyre, in the wake of chaos caused by Yan’s transformation and the Tech Touched invasion. While her and her parents presence at the Technology Fair proved more dangerous than fruitful, the family Wavefliers gave them a swift escape route back to their home on the coast of Mino Ami. Work spread fast, and one of the mainlanders ships planted on the port gave her family an even faster escape back to Sea Jewel alongside a lucky few tourists and Undyre.

The aftermath upon their arrival was emotionally devastating. Her immediate family was small, being just her and her parents, but the fear for their extended families safety sat like stones in each of their stomachs. Much of their early time in Sea Jewel was spent assisting and attempting to identify those who made it to the mainland, trying their best to understand who’s family was left behind, and how they could help. It wasn’t much, but it kept their minds busy, and their kin safe.

Though the kindness and support of the mainland curios was resounding, much of Pearl’s life after the Technology Fair Disaster was monotonous. News of the Tech War reached the shores of Sea Jewel and spread paranoia through her family, pushing them to focus their efforts on working and sending financial assistance back home. Pearl followed suit despite showing a deep interest in the Guilds of Scatterstar, believing her time was better spent on assisting her home from the mainland than getting mixed up in something so time demanding.

Yet as she answers the call to return home and assist in the retaking of Tonpelli, Pearl’s interest shifts back towards the guilds, her new companions urging her to pursue her passions and use her boundless curiosity for something more. Perhaps upon returning to Sea Jewel, she'll take the time to investigate the Archaeologist's Guild, and see if she can spark a new passion that feeds that desire for knowledge her family is known for.
