Profile
( Not much can be discerned from his expression )
There is no need to hide anything that you wish to say. Leave a remnant of your burdens here to make room for better things.I cannot grant your wish, but too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring. I will be sure to fulfill that which is required of me.
( There does not seem to be ulterior motives. It really is just a hobby )
I dislike idle hands and appreciate the delicate toil of the needle.
( He answers with a tired smile. )
Nature is not gentle. Every tree competes for light. I see no reason to frame my actions to your morality.
( He hums )
My forest would be rather dull if not for lofty pursuits. It wouldn't be a wish if it was easily achieved. Know what you want and reach out eagerly for it.
( He chooses his words carefully )
Mother is a formidable woman indeed. I feel a sense of love, respect, and gratitude... but also fear. Let's say she has a lot of power, and she's not very open to compromise.
( He speaks with a tone of endearment )
Punpun is quite the entertaining little rascal. Easy to get along with. Super straightforward, and says whatever they think to the point it's a flaw. Well, all I can do is make sure to look out for him when he's around.
( He nods )
There are very few people I trust completely these days, but Ishiko is indispensable. Don't be deceived by her cheerful disposition. When it counts, she always rises to the occasion
( He contemplates before answering. )
One thing you can't hide - is when you're crippled inside. Among hopeful and simple wishes are also cries that mourn dreams and fantasies that are no more. Dreams heavy, stale, and bittersweet. I can't be sure what has become of the people who leave their sorrows here, but no matter how short or painful their life is, it was by no means a wasted one.
Rihito
Once a giant yokai known as a daidarabotchi, Rihito was a tertiary casualty in a territorial dispute. The impact of his body created a canyon and his blood pooled and nourished the ground where a Jubokko grew. Over centuries, the forest reclaimed the land and Rihito became the guardian of the Kodama - tree spirits - that adored when vistors left colourful paper wishes swaying from their branch.
Profile
Personality
- Rihito is a calm, level-headed and upstanding yokai. Poised and graceful, yet pragmatic, calculating and ruthless, his morals are self fulfilling. In contrast, Rihito believes that vulnerability and sensitivity are qualties deserving of love because they allow people to form a deep connection with those around them. He has grown fond of those that pour their heart into words. Among hopeful and simple wishes are also cries that mourn dreams and fantasies that are no more. Dreams heavy, stale, and bittersweet. Rihito appreciates the complexities in the fragments called wishes.

Trivia
Pilots flesh through a seedling core because he needs opposable thumbs to sew. As an emotional gift, he makes plush dolls, using wishes as their heart.
To gain a stronger body, Lady Osuya's brother tried to possess him, but was trapped and killed alongside Rihito's original body. His current body configures itself to resemble his late uncle, which is the only remenant of his influence and a reminder of an unpleasant past.
Very rarely takes off clothes amd repulsed by his own body.
Repurposes the clothing of his meals as fabric for dolls, or his personal wardrobe. The clothing is not supposed to be culturally accurate, just comfy.
Can operate 1-5 bodies at a time so long as the tree is healthy and
Jubokko
- Jubokko were once normal trees that absorbed massive amounts of blood. They are rather indistinguishable from other trees, though an observant eye may notice human bones buried in the undergrowth beneath the tree. A Jubokko will continue to feed off blood, whereas the flesh and organs are consumed by birds, insects.

Relationships
Lady Otsuya: Adoptive mother. It's an unspoken fact that she played a role in his first death, but they've had a millenia to talk it out.
PunPun:Adoptive sibling. Though the words have long since faded, Punpun carries Rihito's wish around, which dangles from a chain on thier left arm. An alarming amount of his doll creations are made from lost socks that are pulled from PunPun's bower
Ishiko: Adoptive younger sister. 5 centuries ago, Rihito took pity on a girl and sew together a body and encased her soul into it.
