Personality

Michael is a bit of a stereotypical 'angry overzelous computer nerd', to sum him up simply.

Michael acts like he's the smartest person in the world- is that true? No, although he is quite smart especially when it comes to technological things. Does Michael beleive he's the smartest person in the world? Pretty much, or at least for the most part. Michael is incredibly defensive over his information and smarts; if you dare challange any of his knowledge or correct a mistake he will quickly lash out and claim you are idiotic and foolish as well as mutter several quebecois sacres under his breath about you- he is quite a petty man. Although quick to anger and overly tempermental Michael isn't one to cry, if he does feel sad he often bottles it up and ignores it as the only time he ever cries is out of frustration and hate so if you see Michael crying there is a very strong chance he's going to call you some VERY strong words.

Michael can, in fact, actually have his rare positive moments although its very rare and far apart. When he talks about his technology collection or computer science he gets rather proud and boastful, acting as if he knows all and everything he says is 100% correct. He can show some sort of sympathy, really only with people he deems 'tollerable' and he's not that good at comforting people. When he's around people he 'likes' he can be a bit of a joker although his jokes often fall flat due to only making sense in the french language or because they are too niche... or they rely on making fun of someone. He's not good at listening or waiting to speak and will often interrupt conversations to intergect his thoughts and opinions as if they were fact and he rarely ever apologizes unless he deems you worthy of one. Michael has a hard time trusting or liking anyone, he only ever really likes people that he can butt heads with but still be able to come out 'victorius' over- If he's going to argue he will use cheap tacticts to win the argument.

Appearance

Michael is a slightly above average sized man standing at around 5'10/177.8 with a generally lanky figure and no muscle on his body due to not working out often- but he's not exactly scrawny, just deffinetly not strong appearing at all. He has short neck length hair thats soft in feel but spiky and a bit messy in appearance; a bit mullet-esq as well due to how its styled. His hair is two toned, the main color being a dirty blond with the secondary color (only found generally at the end of his hair) being more close to brown than blond. He has no freckling and a single beauty mark under his right eye which happen to be a bright olive green. His faceshape is angular yet more oval like and he has a long pointed nose. He has no noticeable scars and he sometimes wears black nail polish

Michael often sports a typical offwhite button up shirt, brown pants, and brown rectangular glasses perched upon the bridge of his nose. His other outfits are usually more akin to fall inspired outfits such as sweaters and vests but colorwise they usually tend to be beige, yellor or brown as those are his go-to colors. Sometimes he will wear aviator style glasses but he prefers his rectangular or square glasses above the rest.

Relationships

Laurine & Jacques LeBlanc

Michael is very opinionated on his parents, but he also harbors strong mixed feelings about them. He resents them for allowing his siblings to belittle and bully him so much as a child, and yet he doesn't feel the typical hate he does for most individuals. Sometimes he wishes to contact his father again, but after his mothers passing he just rather stay completely out of his life for his own personal comfort.

Pierre and Esmé

His older sister(Esmé) and older brother(Pierre). despite the age gap of roughly 4-5 years Pierre and Esmé would constantly tease and bully Michael, even into adulthood. It wasn't even because Michael was the youngest sibling, it was all because he was an easy target in their eyes. After cutting both of them off from his life Michael doesn't recive much word from them and he feels at peace... He hates many people, but both Pierre and Esmé hold the strongest amount of hate and the same bitter feelings in his heart.

Laurence

Laurence was only 2 years older than Michael and yet would follow along with Pierre and Esmé's bullying simply as a tactic to keep himself from being targeted as well. Durring highschool he drastically mellowed out and made ammends with Michael- they don't exactly get along or really like each other but they keep in contact for important famillial updates anyways... Michael only sees Laurence as a sibling.

Percy

Around the same time Michael started working at Quick tech Michael ended up finding a listing for young pigeons up for sale- Michael has always found pigeons to be a wonderful and misunderstood species of bird so out of curiosity he visited the seller just to windowshop... but he quickly ended up becoming extremely attatched to a sweet little brown lahore pigeon that kept following after him no matter where he moved. He made the impulsive choice to get the pigeon and name them Percy. Percy often sits atop Michaels head or shoulders as he works at home

Backstory

Michael was born sometime in the 90's to his mother Laurine LeBlanc and Jacques LeBlanc in the town of Magog Quebec. Michael was the youngest child of Laurine and Jaques, yet despite being only 2 years younger than his brother Laurence he was treated far differently by his oldest sister Esmé and second oldest brother Pierre. Unlike many other family's where the youngest is babied and treated like royalty Michael was treated the same, maybe even a bit less than his other siblings due to the fact he wasn't quite exactly planned- his parents did love him of course, but they weren't quite prepared to be raising 4 kids in the same-ish timespan.

Michael's childhood was filled with a lot of teasing and bullying by Esmé and Pierre, ocasionally Laurence as well due to wanting to be spared from the older golden children's wrath. Michael tried to not take it to heart, but it was hard when they'd find excuses to tease Michael over the simplest of things and their favorite form of torment was always to throw Michael into the creek by their home. Michael knew he wouldn't develop friendships with his own family, especially as Laurine and Jacques either didn't notice the bullying Michael was reciving or they chose to not aknowledge it and instead let it play out which caused the young boy to beleive that the only way to deal with belittling was through harsh words as well. As a older kid Michael spent most of his time at the library reading as he found comfort in literature that would stay the same and never change /and/ his siblings never went to this perticular library so it felt almost like a safe haven away from his sibling woes.

From a young age Michael developed a deep fascination with technology, primarily computers, and would spend countless hours (or the hours he managed to get in between mandated turns) on the family's macintosh. It was old and very aged but Michael adored it, he even started to mess around with fixing it himself with the little allowance he could scrounge up and with the information he would take in at the library from books or computers. Eventually at the age of 13 Michael was gifted the old family computer for his birthday (and because a new, updated replacement was found). The macintosh he had was severely outdated and yet he continued to work on it and take great care of it. Michael's love for computers and technology as a whole continued to grow along with him; it also became a new thing for his siblings to tease him over but he chose to ignore it as he was already being picked on at school for being a geek.

Michael exelled in Highschool and after graduation he quickly applied to ÉTS; a university still in Quebec but not quite in his hometown meaning a place away from his siblings. Durring his years in university he toyed around with creating more experimental codes, primarily malware and different computer worms. He'd never release these, only using them on his own computers for experimentation and learning new ways to deal with these problems but he did have one perticular incident where a experimental virus of his own creation accidentally got out of containment and ended up spreading like wildfire through his campus causing thousands of dollars in damages... Michael was never caught luckiy and never talks about this. He stopped making many viruses after that incident, but did lean into more hacker-esq things including breaking into government official websites and tinkering with different settings, never really doing much that was noticeable and simply something to humor himself with.

Present Day

a few years into his education word got to Michael that his mother was extremely sick and had no likely chance of survival which caused Michael to take a break from his schooling and rush home- he may have had negative feelings towards his parents for allowing his siblings to do whatever without reprecussion but he still did care for them and he wanted to see his mother. When he arived home both his mother and father were happy to see him and started to profusely apologize for their prior actions which should of been nice for Michael, but a small pit in his chest formed; it had to take one of them being on deaths door to actually want to apologize to him? to reach out and offer an olive branch? He bit his tongue and kept his negative thoughts to himself until it was brought up why he only visited just now. What did they mean /only visiting just now/? Thats when Michael learned that his mother didn't just /suddenly/ come down with an illness, it had been found months prior and no one bothered to reach out to him until now, until his Mother was on her last legs. He stopped biting his tongue and Michael ended up lashing out, finally getting all the negativity and pent up frustration towards his parents before leaving for the day- he needed to think, to process everything. His mother died that night.

To say his older siblings were pissed at him for lashing out at their illed mother on their last day together was an understatement, to say he felt a great shame on himself was even more of an understatement. Michael was inconsolable, heartbroken over the fact he never got to say how much he loved his mother before she passed and that his final moments were hate and anger filled, filled with malice and contempt for years of nothing. The funeral was somber with a very high tension in the air between his siblingswith came to a boiling point at the bequeething and will reading. Michael was left a generous sum of money more than his siblings share which led to a quickly turned violent altercation between Michael and Esmé that had to be split up by Laurence while Pierre watched with interest and their father watched with heartbroken shame. Michael wanted nothing more to do with his family and stormed off, cutting contact with everyone except laurence (but only to be kept in the know of important things- they never talk apart from that) and moving away from Magog to Montreal.

ÉTS had to be put on the backburner; the idea of going back to school using money he inherrited from his mothers death felt like too much and he chose to persue other means of learning in private, becoming more self taught than anything. He refused to acknowledge any of the money he had, and he became more bitter towards life and others after everything. He felt like he had no one. After settling in Montreal he bounced from different jobs, primarily telemarketing until he found an office in desperate need of an IT member. It was a longshot as he had no degree in computer sciences but he threw his hat into the ring and was rather quickly hired at Quick Tech where he still works; angry and cold as ever with a generally constant fire of anger burning within him.
