Personality: 

René is a bit more laid-back personality wise. He is like a river; he flows with the current, staying calm and collected in situations where many would panic or become stressed. He is a bit more emotional than many would be and is very compassionate. He is also very kind and loyal to those he cares about. If he notices anything that is troubling others, he will do everything in his power to help them feel at ease once more. He is also quite sensitive and can be rather fragile at times--however, despite this he is quite strong-willed, and will always stand up for what he thinks is right.

He is very friendly to everyone, but he especially adores his friends and Father. René greatly admires Father, and constantly tries his best to make Father proud, and loves nothing more than receiving praise from him for his good work. He also has a bit of a mischievous sides, and occasionally teases others, but this is simply because he likes to make others laugh and get a good laugh himself. This however, in return, this often annoy Mishka. Since, he tends to do something that he dislikes.

He loves anything to do with swimming, the beach, and relaxing by lakes and other calm bodies of water. His love of all things to do with water only adds to his positive personality, and he is always smiling and laughing whenever a body of water is present. His obsession with something he loves is almost frightening to some.

Character Stories:  

René is a boy raised in Fontaine who was born outside of noble marriage; an illegitimate child whose mother is of Natlan origin. He grew up being shunned and discriminated by his noble peers and stepsiblings, treated as an outcast. René was a very young boy when an incident nearly cost him his life. He was out trying to save an abused puppy from the edge of a river in Fontaine but was nearly drowned in the process. He was rescued by none other than Father, who saved him from his almost imminent death.

As a result of this experience, he has an obsession with rivers, seas, and all other types of water. However, this obsession of his does not seem to be simply out of morbid curiosity; there seems to be something else that makes him take such an intense interest in all things aquatic. After this, he was invited by Father to join his ranks as his first disciple, and accepted the offer without a second thought, as his own family willingly let him go. 

He has been rescued from death by Father once when he was younger, and never forgot the kindness he received. As a result, René has a great admiration for Father that he rarely shows to others; he sees Father as a mentor, but more importantly as a father figure. This admiration and closeness between the two of them only grew stronger as years went on, and Father continued to teach him all that he knew about all kinds of different things, such as the ways of the sword and other weapons while they travel around the regions in Teyvat. 

They then moved to the frozen region known as Snezhnaya, where Father took a young boy named Mishka under his tutelage; this boy would become his second disciple. Initially, René felt a bit of rivalry towards his new companion, but he eventually realized Mishka was more of a younger brother to him than a competitor.

Trivia:

• He proposed to Oceanid once.
• Has a tendency to leave his stuffs and belongings unsupervised and lose it afterward when he went for a swim.
• His fighting style is influenced by Father’s fighting style. However, it is rougher and more aggressive since he uses claymore.
• Will keep reminding others to drink some water.
• He has four stepsibling and one of it is Lariette.
• Gotta be honest, the only reason I made his front fringe long is so I can make him smexy when he is wet.
