We still can’t figure out how to reverse the curse, and at this point Brielle’s pretty much made peace with the idea that she might be a Pokémon forever. According to her, there's worse fates, and she is quite happy at being able to fly, but that hasn't stopped the guilty and helpless feelings I have about the whole mess. I’m just glad she’s no longer depressed, that was an awful time for the both of us.”
Andrew’s Notes (Spewpa): “Brielle’s doing a lot better than she was, and while I wouldn’t say she’s no longer depressed yet, she’s certainly a lot happier and more comfortable in her, uh, new skin. As for evolution, Brielle kept accidentally startling herself out of it (which to be fair is understandable, that would feel so weird) but she got it in the end. Still no luck on reversing this, but that’s okay. We’ll get it eventually.”
Andrew’s Notes (Scatterbug): "Brielle is...well, she was a 14-year-old human from Kalos, but apparently Ninetales don't care whether or not it was an accident or if they were napping under an invisibility illusion: you stepped on a tail, that hurt, get cursed. I've got her registered to my ID because I'll actually treat her like a person while we try to find a way to undo this, but yeah. Ninetales curses are spiteful and vindictive; I’m terrified of the possibility that she really may be stuck like this forever. At least she can still speak English rather than Pokémon, that would be painful otherwise."
