Timothy is my old Pokepasta character from over a decade ago. His story is called 'Incinerate' and can still be found uploaded online, but I've largely retooled the way I view Timothy as a character and will (eventually) rewrite his story.
The biggest difference is that he's just genuinely naive and doesn't recognize the consequences of his actions, even as he's committing atrocities - this is only worsened when the player, out of fear of what he might do if she expresses disapproval over his actions, encourages him further each time he looks to them for approval. As a result, once the player finally can't take it anymore and snaps at him, he's genuinely confused and hurt because he thought he was doing what they wanted.
He loves the player dearly basically immediately, due to them saving him and freeing him from the lighthouse that he's been hidden away in the basement of for centuries. Timothy is actually very desperate and afraid of losing the player, so when it seems as if, in his eyes, they might abandon him, whether it's leaving him at the Daycare or letting him know how they really feel about what he's done, he lashes out. There's no real malice behind anything that he does, as he merely wants approval and love and doing what he thinks will make the player want to keep him around, but that doesn't make his actions any less dangerous for those around him.
In truth, perhaps if the player had expressed distaste for his actions from the start, things may not have escalated in such a way. But it's too late to know either way now...
Timothy uses he/him pronouns, but only because it's what his player referred to him as and otherwise he doesn't have any attachment to them. Besides that, he doesn't really care either way about the concept of gender.
