Lionbite is a very gruff guy, he rarely shows his soft side, even with his closest friends and family, he doesn't like facing his problems and prefers just to pretend it doesn't exist or ignore it. He often feels lonely even if he's surrounded by cats.

Childhood

Lionkit was born with his sister Rattlekit, it was obvious early on that the siblings' ambitions were very different from each other, Rattlekit wanted to be the best and stand out, while Lionkit just wanted to be good enough. He thought his sister's future dreams were a bit too much for him.

Lionpaw slowly drifted off from his sister, often wanting to do his own thing since all Rattlepaw wanted to do was train, he found it really tiring so didn't bother more than the bare minimum. He would hang out with the other apprentices, Lichenpaw and Slatepaw from time to time as well, but he wasn't particularly close with them either.

The only cat he felt peace being around with was his younger sister Badgerkit, but sometimes Rattlepaw would take her away from him as well, which he didn't understand, Badgerkit was a literal child, she did not need training at that age, but whatever, Rattlepaw could do whatever she wanted.

Adulthood

When the siblings became warriors, Lionbite didn't bother staying with Rattlemoth anymore, all she wanted was to be deputy now, and that is something he was not interested in. It was at this point where he noticed Lichenbreeze taking a liking to him, Lionbite always just thought of Lichenslash as a fellow clanmate, maybe a friend if you really push it.

Lichenslash would go out of her way to hang out with Lionbite, and he would go along with her because he didn't have anything else to do, he tried to subtly tell her that he only viewed the other molly as a friend, but Lichenslash never seemed to take the hint. This bothered Lionbite greatly, but he couldn't deny that Lichenslash was good company.

Slatefrost was another molly that Lionbite liked talking to, just like Lichenslash, he only viewed her as a friend, but after awhile, he felt like the two mollies were fighting for his attention. Lionbite didn't know what to do, he knew he didn't to tell both of them that he didn't have any romantic feelings for any of them.

But whenever he tried to do that, he'd chicken out, afraid to hurt their feelings, and in the end, he'd just started hoping that he would develop feelings for one of them. He got too close with Slatefrost one night, although he was uncomfortable, he still did it. When Lichenbreeze asked him to be her partner, he couldn't find it in his heart to deny, and he gaslit himself that he did indeed love her.

Lionbite was happy to see Lichenslash happy, but that means Slatefrost got left out, and she would try to shove herself in between the couple, Lionbite also didn't have the heart to turn her away as well, especially knowing what they got up to, but Lichenslash got into a fight with her, and the other molly never bothered them much after that.

Lichenslash one day told Lionbite that she was expecting kits, he didn't take this news well, he wasn't ready for kits, it didn't help that after that, Slatefrost pulled him aside and said that she was also baring his kits. Lionbite was sent into a panic, he wasn't ready for this, he wasn't ready for kits, let alone two litters.

Lionbite wanted Slatefrost to not tell his partner about their kits, the molly didn't looked too stoked about it, but she agreed begrudgingly to Lionbite's relief. Lichenslash gave birth to Tunnelkit and Sulfurkit a few moons later. Lionbite still didn't know how to feel about being a father, but he hid his feelings away and pretended to be happy for his new family.

Adulthood Part 2

Of course just when things started to settle, Slatefrost had to break her promise and tell Lichenslash right after she had just gave birth. Lionbite tried to defend himself but no one was listening to him. He distanced himself from everyone after that, Badgerstrike was the only cat left that he felt like he could trust.

His younger sister accompanied him through his darkest times, though he'd never let his feelings show. He went to visit Slatefrost after she gave birth to his second litter of kits, to prove to everyone and himself that he still had a bit of empathy left in him, as he looked at Echokit snd Havenkit, Slatefrost started speaking.

Her honey sweet words dripped from her tongue, pleading him to stay with her, his one true love. So he agreed to be her partner, after that, he'd sometimes catch Lichenslash glaring at him, and he'd try to avoid her as much as possible. But then Echokit opened her eyes and he felt the need to drift away from his children again.

Lionbite cared for Slatefrost but wouldn't look at his children in the eye, but Tunnelpaw always tagged along with him like a fly, this annoyed Lionbite quite a bit, but after Badgerstar kept telling him off about ignoring his child and to take responsibility. So he'd pretend to tolerate Tunnelpaw whenever Badgerstar was around, and snap at the apprentice whenever she wasn't.

After a few moons, Tunnelpaw finally left him alone. Lionbite was free from his worries. Maybe.
