Rattlemoth is a big fluffy cat, her pelt is golden with darker markings on her back, she has a big fluffy mane that can flare up like a cobra's hood when she's angry. Her back markings mimic a moth's wing.

Childhood

Rattlekit was born with her brother Lionkit, Rattlekit wasn't all that close with her brother though and treated him like a tool to help her get better. She begged the warriors and apprentices to train her even though she was just a kit, if she was denied then she would pick fights with the other kits, usually Lionkit, to train.

Rattlepaw was ecstatic about becoming an apprentice, she loved going into the forest to train, and loved it even more when she gets to show off. Because Rattlepaw was excel at everything, she'd train Badgerkit, her younger sister, whenever she was done for the day.

Adulthood

Rattlepaw earned the name of Rattlemoth, named after one of the greatest Dragonclan leaders there ever was, Mothstar. Rattlemoth felt honored that Viperstar would name her after Mothstar even though she wasn't related to the past leader, it made her feel even more special than she already was.

But then a young apprentice by the name of Hazelpaw started to challenge her in all sorts of things, fighting, hunting, climbing you name it, and of course Rattlemoth isn't about to let this apprentice thinks he's better than her. Hazelpaw surprised Rattlemoth, with his quick wits and skills, they were basically neck and neck in all of their competitions. This annoyed Rattlemoth greatly, because she no longer had a secured place for deputy.

Hazelhawk got chosen as deputy, Rattlemoth didn't know what to say, she was older than her and their skills weren't that far off, and when she confronted Viperstar, she explained that Hazelhawk got picked over her is because of his attitude, Hazelhawk was genuinely more friendly and social, which Viperstar thought was better suited for the role.

Rattlemoth was crushed, but she couldn't deny that what her leader said was true, she resented Hazelfeather for ruining her life goals, but she resented herself more than anything. Hazelhawk always stuck around her, acting like her best friend which annoyed Rattlemoth but through time, she started to enjoy the other cat's company, making him her first ever friend.

Adulthood part 2

After Rattlemoth accepted that Hazelhawk was just better at being deputy than her, life started looking a lot better, and Hazelhawk always asks for her advice, opinion or help and she's more than happy to help out her friend, especially with the war with Crystalclan looming closer, Rattlemoth doesn't doubt that Hazelhawk must be stressed.

During the battle with Crystalclan, Rattlemoth fought beside Hazelhawk, they worked great together, covering for each other's weak spots, suddenly a cat attacked her from behind which caught her off guard since Hazelhawk always watched her back. Rattlemoth took care of the enemy warrior and looked around for her friend, that's when she saw Hazelhawk protecting a Crystalclan warrior. The deputy declared that he was in love with the enemy warrior.

All kinds of emotions surged through her, confusion, hurt, betrayal, but the strongest of all, rage. Rattlemoth didn't let Hazelhawk say another word as she ripped out her throat, shouting at her to leave, exiling him on the spot, with fear in his eyes, Hazelhawk turned tail and ran with her partner following close behind.

Rattlemoth didn't know what to do after that, it all happened so fast and next thing she knew, Viperstar has chosen her to be deputy, but she couldn't bring herself to be proud of happy, she never was and never will be as great as Hazelhawk. Rattlemoth couldn't deal with the fact that she killed her only friend, yes he was a traitor but he was still a great cat, she just fell in love, Rattlemoth can't blame her for falling in love.

Rattlemoth couldn't bring herself to do her duties, she always stayed in bed and refused to eat, making her become really ill. One day, Badgerstrike came to wake her, telling her that Viperstar has passed away and it was her time to be leader. Rattlemoth stared at her sister, thinking that this was some sick joke, but she knew Badgerstrike wouldn't lie to her about his kind of thing, but Rattlemoth knew she wasn't fit to be leader.

Rattlemoth got on the leader's rock, making her first appearance in moons, and told Dragonclan that she was sorry but she was in no shape to lead. She made Badgerstrike her deputy and said she was retiring, making her sister leader instead, and slunk back into her den without another word. Rattlemoth died of sickness a few days later.
