Tan'shalan, meaning "a child of spirits", unique creatures born from the pure energy flowing as the blood in the Lagrima's veins. As an orphan Vasilisk grew up in an outlying temple deep in the mountain plains, until one day he decided to escape, being tired of the everyday monotony, to see the world hidden outside the stone walls.
Vasilisk is hot-tempered, tending to be incredolous, impulsive and sharp-tongued. He absolutely believes the best way to do something is to do it by himself. He has troubles with trusting new people and needs some time to get comfortable with their presence. Though he is definitely can be hard to communicate with, once he sees you as his close friend, Vasilisk will always be there for you, grumpy, but deeply caring and protective. Vasilisk is amazing at stressful situations and surprisingly acts very calm and rational, which saved him and Sik from dangerous situaitions many times. He is naturally smart, capable of creating action plans and strategies that actually work well in practice. And he will *always* help the ones in need. No exceptions.

Background
As mentioned, Vasilisk is an orphan. Being born from the pure life energy, obviously, has it's cons, like not having parents or any family members at all. Monks from the temple found him as a newborn and took care of him for years. Temples in Lagrima often specialise in hepling children who are not capable of taking care of themselves, in return these children are helping monks with cooking, cleaning, watching younger groups of children and other things like that. So Vasilisk had no choice other than working and helping his adoptive family. At the same time he studied martial arts to entertain himself and to be capable of protecting himself, as well as protecting the others who need this. That's where he met Yoko. A teneeger deli who was sent to the temple because of the constant wars at her homeland to be safe away from home. The same as him, strange, rude and self-willed, at first she annoyed him, but slowly they started to understand each other, work and spend their free time together, laying in the grass and dreaming about the outlying world outside the temple, dreaming about all of the adventures they could have together when they are old enough to leave.
But appears Yoko didn't want to wait anymore. She talked Vasilisk into escaping the temple at night to leave all their lives behind and the that new world they both dreamed about. So they did it. They were absolutely free for the first time in their lives, no rules, no adults that keep telling them what to do, only snowy mountains they needed to get through to continue their jorney. Unfortunately, this mountains had their own plans for them. Young travelers were caught in an avalance, Vasilisk survived, but Yoko did not. It crashed Vasilisk. All their dreams and hopes were destroyed and the only friend he had died, died because of him being too naive. Vasilisk burried Yoko in the snow and promised to himself he will never ever fall in love with anyone else, always being loyal to Yoko, even if she's not here anymore. He will always remember her.
Vasilisk managed to make the rest of his way through mountains and kept travelling alone. He never stayed for too long in one place, like a hermit, free, but lonely. Until one day he met Sik. Strange creature that didn't look like any Lagrima dweller he have seen before, obviously uncapable of surviving here on his own. Trying not to get attached, Vasilisk offered his help to Sik to get him to the closest village where he will say goodbye to Sik and continue his jorney, alone as always. But something went wrong. Since then they are pretty much never apart. Vasilisk suddenly got a new friend, without being afraid of going through pain again, they spent many years travelling together.

Sik
Vasilisk's best friend. Despite Sik's quite and shy nature, they both somehow managed to create a life long lasting bond, where each one of them have the absolute trust towards other. Vasilisk deeply cares about Sik, but shows it in a strange, often loud way. But Sik as a calmer person in return balances Vasilisk's hot temper, so they work perfectly as the team. Also he doesn't really understand Sik's obsession with Natt and to be honest is a little bit homophobic but he tries his best to be supportive of his friend.
Yoko
Vasilisk's first and only love. They both never managed to confess their feelings, as Yoko died at very young age in a tragical circumstances. At that very moment Vasilisk promised to himself to never fall in love with anyone, being loyal to Yoko, even if she's dead. He never forgets about her.

Natt always seemed a little suspicious to Vasilisk so he was the of the few who avoided being charmed by Natt's charisma. They spended some time together and surprisingly Vasilisk never tried to confront Natt in any way but deeply inside he never trusted him.

Vasilisk is terrified of the Sun Goddess, but never ever shows it. He despises the fact that such evil god exists in his homeland and absolutely hates everyone who is worshipping her. Lowkey wants her to be dead.
