Swandive

Swandive hates the leader of Featherclan, Falconstar. She sees him as a power hungry gremlin. She hates everyone in her clan. She is melodramatic, seeing the clan prioritizing their survival over playing with her as a kit as character assassination to her. Because of the "neglect", she resents everyone, even her own parents. Seeing their downfall nurtures her anger.

She meets a few dogs one day while out on a solo patrol. Thinking her time is done, she begins to back away when the dogs look at her curiously. She ends up befriending the dogs, bringing them food gifts every once in a while. She then cooks up a plan to train them to eventually kill off her clanmates. Unfortunately, her plan is extended when she gains Heronpaw as an apprentice. She has uncontrollable anger toward him the most, as the clan was able to care for him due to Featherclan being more stable. She takes every opportunity to take a jab at him, even hurting him during training sessions.

The curious apprentice sees her feeding the dogs one day. Furious, she allows him to meet with the dogs and pressures him into secrecy. Moons later, she is leading the dogs toward the clans when Heronpaw comes by the visit. Shocked, he asks why she's going so close to Featherclan. Swandive tells him her plan. He begins to back away, threatening to tell the entire clan. Finally seeing a chance to get rid of him, she commands the dogs to attack. Spike (the lead dog) remembers Heronpaw caring for them more than Swandive did and hangs back as the others begin mauling Heronpaw. Spike then decides to revolt, calling the other dogs and reasoning that Swan may discard them like she's doing to Heron. They turn and leave Heron alive, chasing Swan up a tree for several hours.

Swandive slips away when the dogs tire out and sleep at the forest floor. She returns to the clan to Falconstar questioning her on the state of Heronpaw's health and why she was gone so long. She is able to smooth things over, saying that the dogs came out of nowhere and Heronpaw was frozen in fear and not able to run away. Swan emphatically explains how she was able to lure them away from him and ran for hours until they could find her anymore. She runs to the medicine den, disgusted by Heronpaw's appearance and shocked that he lived. Since Heronflight became a warrior, she verbally attacks him constantly, breaking him down and telling him that she'll kill him if he says anything else. She is just an awful and vengeful cat.
