Pup of Dante and Aniju, Lancer is a half breed of a Nyvern and Ari sphinx. Lancer spend his early years in the Ivory Sanctuary until he was old enough and strong enough to leave. During his time at the Sanctuary Lancer became known as Razzarah one of the dragons of the mountain. Members of Ivory would protect the Sanctuary from any trespassers who wandered too close. The general population assumed the dragons of the mountain were defending their territory because they had pups. Whenever Ivory would bring in someone for healing/recovery or anyone needing protection while in the sanctuary, Ivory took advantage of this misconception and spread the rumor that the dragons would adopt mortals as members of their own. Lancer would help scare off anyone who ventured too close until he was old enough to leave. 

On his own Lancer wasn't too interested in being around other members of Ivory and spent most of his time just traveling around. Naturally gifted in magic, Lancer would use his abilities to either disguise himself or help himself earn money. In his early days on his own, Lancer would disguise himself as a mortal and hunt bounties to earn himself money. Despite the bounty hunting being fun; it wasn't reliable. He would find more reliable income from crafting and selling portions and other remedies. 

As time went on Lancer became more comfortable around mortals and soon realized he could his status as Razzarah to his advantage. He spent more time in his true sphinx form. This would gain him automatic nobility status in amount the mortal races. Interaction with Sphinxes was rare and hardly ended well for the mortal party involved. Lance spent time building relations with the right nobles however he soon learned that politics was boring. Lancer enjoying traveling more and he never stayed in one place for more than a few years.

Having a long-life span, Lancer found an interesting way to occupy his time. He would sometimes used his transforming abilities to live life as another creatures, sometimes even one of the mortal races such as a human. He would live as another creature from anywhere from a few days to a few years. He enjoyed most going to a new town or city and disguising himself as a human or another short-lived race and building a little life for himself. He made sure to never make strong connections with people so that way when he grow bore, he would leave without a notice. 

Lancer found that mortals were more interested in courting him in his sphinx form rather than any of his pretend mortal lives. Most of these were from the nobility. Lancer would turn down any advances from others knowing that these were only for some kind of gain. Being mates with a sphinx was an instant status boost for sure. This all changed when Lancer encountered a Rhyker named Flix whom wish to court him. This time Lancer took Flix up on his offer after spending some time with him. Lancer saved Flix and a few members of his squad from a troll giant, preventing him from ending up in some troll soup. Flix at the time did not know Lancer was nothing other than a dragon, however he later witness Lancer transforming from his dragon form to his sphinx form. Flix returned to Lancer with a gift of flowers to thank him for saving him and his teammates, and offered to show Lancer around the town. Lancer not being the romantic type and Flix not initially trying to court him, Flix housed Lancer for a time and the two became friends. The two bonded over their hobbies with Flix enjoying sewing and Lancer enjoying the things he would make for him. It was ultimately Lancer who initiated the courtship. 

The Rhyker kingdom however attempted to keep Lancer there, offering him like a noble manor and a seat in the king's court. Lancer disliking politics an having more of a free spirit, soon it came time to leave. Flix choice to go with him. The two traveled around for a few years. With Flix with him Lancer spent less time living as other creatures. Things were going good and they made a few friends whom they could stay with from time to time, as long as they were in the area. However Flix being a human and although he did enjoy the freedom, he craved some security. Lancer took Flix to a finish town called Threma and there he built Flix a house so they had somewhere to return to in-between their travels. Flix particularly disliked winter and the cold weather so they would spend the winters in their home. Overtime they began to stay there more and more through the year. 

Flix wasn't really too interested in making a living off of his sewing hobby, Lancer set up a potion shop to earn some income since he now had a human mate to look after. He employed Silvus to run the shop for him and allowed Silvus to live in the upper apartment above the shop. With his shop looked after and his mate happy, Lancer still would leave from time to time but would return home after a few weeks. Recently Lancer took on an apprentice named Liam whom wanted to learn magic.
