• Born and raised as a kittypet, Jake spent the majority of his life in comfort and boredom until a chance encounter had him eager for a taste of the wild.
• He eventually ran away from his twolegs and lived as a loner for awhile until he met a curious young WindClan warrior and they became especially close, though them both being toms made their relationship less than acceptable, but eventually they overcame the scrutiny of others and when Talltail became the leader of WindClan, he officially invited Jake to join his Clan as his mate.
• They had a happy relationship, but something still felt missing and Jake told his mate he wanted kits, Tallstar was hesitant by the idea, but eventually caved when Jake proposed using an old kit-hood friend as their surrogate.
• Quince had always had a crush on Jake since they were kittens, so when he proposed having a litter of kits, she was quite happy to oblige with the stipulation that she nursed the kits until they were weaned and were given the choice to choose for themselves what life they wanted.
• However, before Quince had a chance to get the kits to Jake, her smallest kit had gone missing and her twolegs had taken Socks and Ruby from her and given them to new twolegs.
• When Jake found out his litter was out of his reach, he was rather disheartened, but after the death of Tallstar's half-sister left her litter without a family, Tallstar propsed they take the kits in and finish raising them.
• Jake never even suspected he had a litter with Nutmeg before he met Firepaw at his first gathering, but the young apprentice clearly had no idea who he was and the WindClan warrior found himself tracking his son's progress as a Warrior.
