TRAITS

Don comes off as extremely aloof and withdrawn to most people due to her demeanor. She comes off as mysterious from afar and awkward up close if you don't know her well. She is very kind and empathetic at the end of the day.

Don is very stubborn, and she does what she wants. Her decisions are usually made with the best interests of others in mind. Sometimes her decisions hurt other people, but she values their safety over their feelings. She can be self sacrificial. She is also very competitive.

Don is quiet. She talks when she needs to, and she opens up more when she is with people she's comfortable with, but she doesn't generally see a need to say much outside of that.

PAST

Don grew up in a home with an alcoholic mother and a sick father and learned emotional distance and refusal of help early on. She ran away from her troubled home when she was 16 to financially support her siblings from a distance, and was on her own for a period of time. She learned young how to fix things from her dad. Her tendency to be good at problem solving with inventive solutions lent her well to creativity. She started doing freelance home repair and odd jobs for anyone that would hire her. She gained a lot of hands-on experience from this. She spent her days working to survive mostly. She drew when she had the time and wrote about things that were on her mind.

Don has never truly found a home at this point in time, so she continues "wandering".

PRESENT

She keeps doing what she was doing before, working freelance and helping people while traveling around with the cash she got from jobs.

Her motorcycle breaks down on the side of the road and she is at a pretty low point when a person in a truck who she would soon know as Jo, finds her and offers to drive her to a shop. She accepts, and her motorcycle ended up needing to be serviced for a few weeks. Jo promised her that she could rely on her to get around. The two hit it off from there.

Eventually, they grow closer and enter more of an unspoken relationship. They travel together and enjoy each other's company. They have realized at this point that they need each other.
