Child of the moon, or a Leveret. As the Moon Deitiy's underling, she works diligently at carrying out prayers, summoning rituals, and other tasks she is assigned. Vanny's age can be determined by her appearance. The older the Leveret, the more crow-like they become. So Vanny's age would be comparable to a human's in their 40s. The only reason she is in the cult because she was summoned on a mishap by Hanako. She is unable to contact her god because the cultgrounds are a deadzone, and she can't leave because of the pact she has with Hanako, which keeps them in a certain range together.
Vanny is one of many Leverets, so her disappearance is not notable.

Vanny by nature is a calm person. She keeps to herself often, and waits for people to come to her. It is not necessarily because she is an introvert, but mainly because she is not used to talking with humans. Leverets rarely communicate verbally with each other. If they need to communicate, they can just do so by telepathy. Since they are all extensions of the Moon Deity, it is within their ability to do so.
Vanny also reflects the Moon Deity's value of empathy. Even if humans are unfamiliar territory to her, she does care for them, but in the way where you would care for an animal. She does her best to treat the other cult members kindly, but since they all intentionally try to piss her off, she finds it difficult to do so.
Working is built into Vanny, she is diligent and tough, you could say she enjoys working. It is an important value instilled into her, and she does not like people who slack off or try to push their workload onto others. Sometimes she will chastise the lazy cult members and force them to do something productive if Namida isn't doing so already.
Most often Vanny holds a neutral face and almost looks angry. Though, she only looks angry because most people are taller than her, and it's just a play on perspective. She has a fairly good control over her emotions, though riling her up is completely possible, it is also Namida's favorite hobby.
Vanny admires the Moon Deity deeply and she is pleased to call herself one of her underlings.
