Khepri

Khepri's name is based off of a Egyptian god associated with the morning sun and resurrection. She was raised in the village across from the cult grounds, and although much of the village believe that the battle between the Moon Deity and Kleptes is just myth, these stories are still deeply engrained into the villages culture. Khepri grew up listening to these stories from her mother and father. Her family is DEEPLY religious, and Khepri was too as a child, but the more she grew up the more she strayed away from religion. She is a logical thinker, and now that she is pushing thirty she doesn't really know if she believes in these stories anymore. She still supports her family though. Her father passed away peacefully when he was 25.

Growing up, Khepri was curious and asked SO many questions. She was a certified yapper. In her teens she knew she wanted to be a detective, and she pursued this career when she turned an adult. She also managed to get into college, which was a complete struggle given the fact she is a woman. After completing her education she joined a small agency near her college. Around this time there weren't many detective agencies since many investigations were done by volunteers. It was a growing career though! In her agency she was discriminated against and seen as inferior to the other men, and this sort of destroyed her confidence and after three years she quit.

After quitting, she moved to her home town and started to work as a private investigator. Many murder cases happened after she enrolled in college, and she was hired to investigate. These murder cases (AND missing persons cases) were related to the cult, and after two years worth of her investigation she was able to find the core of it. These cases sort of broke her mind, during the investigation even more crimes were being committed and there were barely any traces of the culprit. Artemi and Aristous were kind of her break through in the investigation.

Khepri doesn't know how to cast magic, nor did she really know it was possible since there are no magic casters in her hometown or near her college, so her main weapon is a family heirloom, a crossbow !! It has engravings of Kleptes and the Sun Deity on it. It does take a little to load but it has a hell lot of firepower and in her opinion it's fun to use. Since she was practicing this as a child she is quite the skilled ranger and has a good eye.
