History
Born April 11th year 819,481
Shayta Anaiel [Shey-tah Ann-eye-el] is a full(otherwise known as perfect) angel who developed runes, which is quite rare. Runes are an odd mutation in which the person has bright, or glowing ‘runes’ on the body. They can be all over the body or in just a few places. They can enhance the magic level of the person quite a bit, so it’s seen as quite a useful trait for some species. Angels, though, look down upon others with runes, solely because they look ‘ugly and unattractive’.
After developing runes at 15, she was mocked & belittled constantly and found it hard to live around other angels. She realized how awful the angel's whole system was: merciless and horrible, never allowing anybody who looks different to live a good life, and she couldn't take it anymore. She left the angel territory once she became an adult and went to live in The UT, where people always accepted your differences. Most people compliment her!
She is Ana’s guardian; she’s very protective of her. She discovered Ana around late August, year 819,501. Ana told her that she was banished from the A.T. because of her interest in Dark Magic and because they hated her small wings[an unfortunate trait]. Shayta knew how she felt, being suddenly abandoned by the people she loved because of something she couldn't control. She invited her to come live with her for as long as she needed, and considers herself her guardian, or like a big sister.
Because of her love of food, she set up a small food blog when she arrived to The UT, writing about all the food she’s devoured and which places have the best food. Because of that, she accidentally became a pretty well known food critic, and many restaurants recognize her. She never expected this to happen but oh well.
She is considered one of ‘The Unfortunate Few’ because her runes is looked down upon by her species.
Skills & Abilities
- Quite skilled at flying, used to enter races before she developed runes.
- Has strong magic level[mostly because of the runes], and tries to practice often.
- Very skilled at art. Loves to teach her friends how to draw things!
- Huge green thumb- loves growing plants and flowers to decorate the apartment. Sweet smelling flowers are a plus too, because sometimes Ana brings home some rancid smelling corpses. Gross..

Family
Used to be very close with both her parents, but after developing her runes she hasn’t been on speaking terms with her mother.
Her father was disgusted at first but he got over it quick. He wouldn’t let something like that ruin his relationship with his daughter. The two plan to meet each-other at least once a month, though it’s a bit difficult for Corin to leave the A.T. as he must ask the Queen for permission first.
Shayta has no siblings.
Other
After Ana was found using Dark magic, she was banished from the angel territory at only 14. She had nowhere to go and luckily for her, she ran into Shayta. Feeling bad for her, and understanding what had happened, she let Ana live with her in her apartment and became her guardian. It’s only been a few years but they’re both extremely close.
- Nathan and Olivia: Lives in the same apartment complex as her. She comes to visit every now and again to devour all of Nathan’s freshly baked foods. She enjoys Olivia’s company, and likes to doodle with her, as Olivia wants to be just as good as her one day.
- Sam S. Galvin: Met him by pure accident at the library. She accidentally spilled her tea on him so she made it even by taking him to lunch. They have very similar interests, and rant about new books almost every time they meet. She’s also very interested in his power to manipulate water.
- Riko Hayes: Olivia's.. boyfriend? She's actually unsure of their relationship but she didn't bother to ask about it. She sees Riko when she hangs out with Olivia & Nathan, but doesn't know too much about him. They're not best friends, just yet.
