Overview
An immature apethetic young man, with somekind of unchecked complex.
Auden Algarin is a pessimistic, cocky, smartass who only acts kindly to those who have earned his respect. He spent his entire childhood studying as a child prodigy in alchemy, and now he’s just a young adult with a higher then average iq. He’s short tempered and stubborn but can usually clean his act up when needed. He’s chaotic neutral, only wanting to cover himself and those close to him, he loves to live in the morally grey area of doing so-so things to help himself and his friends. He's on the verge of burnout, with devistatingly deep eyebags and an insomnia too intense to remedy. He wants to be friendly and do what he can to help but hes exuasted. Everything that comes out of his mouth is either snarky or sarcastic, hes simply given in to these reflex like responses.

Auden has a long list of odd quirks and habits. He can't help but pick at his acne every time he passes a mirror. Auden also struggles with leaving his acid scars alone after they heal. His skin has become a mess of blemishes and scars. You can catch his eyes, lips, and forearms tremble due to prolonged stress and an over-intake of caffeine. There are a few harmless quirks he possesses. He's often seen twirling his hair and fidgeting with the buttons and seams of his clothes.
Audens' communication skills are minimal. His tone often comes off as condescending and cocky. He's worked on his communication he can't help but make almost every conversation an argument as if there is always a right and wrong. When facts and logic fail, he's no stranger to insults and rude language. He fears that being wrong will affect how capable his companions think he is, so he does everything to avoid it. When he conversates with his companions, he can open up a bit more, coming to terms with the criticism given.
For most of his life, he's had little to mirror for affection and love language. When he wants to show affection, he gives money and expensive gifts. Eventually, the way he shows affection shifts to meaningful homemade gifts. He rarely shows love through physical touch or words of affirmation.

Design notes
- Although his large round frames are what hes known for, have fun with his glasses frames, he owns plenty. However they almost always come in a gold color
- His pleated collar is very interchangable with ties, bowties, or a lack of all three
- His main ear piercings are stretched to a 00, artistically you can get creative with what piercings he does and doesnt have. Its never consistant
- He tends to be very expressive when conversating, don't be afraid to push his expressions very far.
- His acid burn scars are constantly getting bigger and more textually complex due to him constantly scratching and picking at them, even when theyre fully healed.

From a young age, Auden knew isolation like the back of his hand. His parents weren't concerned if he could take care of himself. His parents co-ran a water filtration company. Since water quality was so poor, there was always more work to do. The time spent with his parents was short and filled with criticism of his intellectual development. They had him studying the science of alchemy and learning how to use spells and magic in basic combat. He had grown up with a warped sense of self and morals. He created his outward persona from fiction, splicing together character traits from books he read. He could always find himself in the brooding, vigilante-type characters. He cannot read social cues and interact with kids his age, making him an outcast to those around him. He lessened the bullying by adopting a cynical and sarcastic demeanor. Whatever insults people had to say about him, he would come back with something ten times worse.
Auden tried to forget about his poor home and social life by throwing himself into his studies. He spent most of his days rotting away at his desk. The long hours and poor posture gave him chronic back and neck pain. He tried to find compassion from his parents several times. They believed that he was making up stories for attention. This constant cycle of emotional and physical negligence was the center of his dismissive pessimistic personality.
