Overview
An earnest cowboy, who follows the word of the law
Orion Banks isn't what would be considered an outlaw, rule-bending cowboy. He keeps close to his roots, remembering how much his hometown has shaped who he is now. Both of his parents were close friends of everyone in their small town. After they passed and his sister abandoned where they came from, he felt responsible for the townspeople who couldn't help themselves. Orion became almost like a hero to them. Even if his hero work is mowing lawns and fixing electrical lines, he wouldn't have it any other way. On the line of lawful good, Orion follows the rules, doing good when those rules permit it. He wants to live up to his name and make his late mother and father proud of the man he's become, but he's starting to think that the small town of Copper Creek isn't where he becomes that man.

Demeanor
Orion is a creature of routine and habit. He lives with a strict schedule, waking up at 5:30 am to the same breakfast of bacon, eggs, toast, and orange juice. He spends the day tending to his farm and afternoons helping others. At night he comes home, cleans up, showers, has dinner, prays, and repeats it all other again. His only exception is going to church on Sundays. He's also picked up smoking cigarettes due to the stress of feeling obligated to help others.
Orion plays the "strong and silent type" very well. He rarely adds his input into a conversation unless asked to. His words are far and few between. He knows his words have more weight when they're occasional. He hates to pick sides in an argument and will keep his opinions to himself. Orion tries to minimize conflict.
Orion isn't exactly known for how affectionate he is. A simple head nod is how he usually shows gratitude to those he doesn't know well. When he wants to show affection to those he's close to, he believes a few kind words are the proper way to do it. His most prominent love language is acts of service. If he loves you, he WILL fix your plumbing and repaint your walls.

Skills & abilities
Shapeshift
The ability to physically transform oneself through an inherently superhuman ability, divine intervention, demonic manipulation, sorcery, spells or having inherited the ability. Orion inherited this ability from his late mother Abigail Banks. He neglected to practice or attempt to improve this skill after his mother passed, leaving it as a last resort in any combat situation. He can only shapeshift into a copper red horse for short amounts of time, this is most often used to escape from a situation quickly. Very helpful when a companion is wounded and needs assistance exiting an area quickly.
Sharpshooting
A high proficiency at firing firearms or other projectile weapons accurately. Orion has become a master at making every shot count in a dire situation. His aim with both pistols and arrows is almost always spot on. This is only helped by his calm demeanor and ability to hyperfocus. This is the skill that is most often used in combat since his main weapon is a pistol.
Lassoing
To capture with or as if with a lasso. Orion has been lassoing small animals and cattle since he was a boy. He has now altered this skill to be useful in combat. His will most often use his lasso to grapple enemies too far away closer to his companions with an advantage in close range combat. He has also been seen hanging his opponents by their boots to keep himself out of harms way.
Golden standard, dear old dad.
Sawyer Banks was orions biggest role model in both life and death. He came from essentially nothing, with two poor parents and barely a dime to their name. Sawyer made it his lifes goal to give his two children a better life, working towards what would later be known as the banks farm. Saywer and Orion were like two peas in a pod, Sawyer taught Orion everything he knows about farming and livestock. They were inseparable, even into Orion's teen years. After he passed Orion felt nothing but guilt for not doing more to save him. With the loss of his dad came the loss of his best friend.
Hell of a mom, hell of an artist.
Orion has his late mom to thank for all of the special things in his life. Abigail was an artist in more ways than one. She would often have Orion help her in her pottery studio that was stashed away in the basement. She had gifted him many pieces of pottery and 2d art over the years, but his favorite was her magnum opus of craftsmanship. A Beautifully carved and detailed fiddle that she taught him how to play. He remembers her soft warm touch in detail, and resents the fact that he didnt embrace more traits that he had inherited from her before she was gone. He still uses all of the hand-made dishwear that he could salvage from the housefire, along with her annotaed bible untouched by any flame.
Complex sibling rivalry, his polar opposite.
Orion and Celeste have a difficult relationship. Theyre the only people who could possibly understand what theyre going through, yet they decided to go eperate ways after the funeral. Orion loves his sister and wishes that he could see her more often. Celeste is possibly the ONLY person Orion has left in his life. He holds a silent resentment towards her, he doesnt understand how it could be so easy for her to up and leave town after the funeral.
A liar and a sad excuse for an ex.
Jolene had moved into town not long after Orion had finished rebuilding his childhood home. She came onto him strong, in hopes of getting into a relationship with Orion. After dating for a while Jolene had spread rumours that Orion had been treating her poorly, all in hopes of getting the land Orion owned. Adding him to the list of men she had lied to for her own gain.
Uhh, at least she makes his sister happy.
After Reuniting with Celeste, Orion leanred that she had been dating the semi-famous pop star "Dreary Overcast", also known as Eleana Calador. At first he was taken aback by this but over time came to appreciate Eleanas outward and excentric attitude. He thinks Celeste couldve done much worse, and is glad his sister found someone she loves.
