THE Interplanetary Playboy.

Kass was a free spirit that only one Iinowaen understood. He was known to ramble for hours about his interests and get excited over the small things. All his life, he's been an easygoing extrovert who loved to be included and indulge in his favorite activities with anyone who showed a slight interest.

He loved Eustace Cabuxiri for a hundred years.

MISC NOTES.

  • The pattern on Kass' original Xibagantan jumpsuit matches the tattoo across his collarbone. Despite being against the rules, when Kass was young, he borrowed his grandmother's sewing kit and stitched the odd collection of symbols across the top of his turtleneck. The meaning behind it is unknown.
  • Eustace's wardrobe surprisingly consists of many flowy, iridescent, and sheer Xibagantan outfits, which Kass liked. Yet, these clothes were designer brands and popular with royals back in the day. Kass continued to wear such clothes after they split because he felt more comfortable.
  • Kaspian easily styled his hair in the past, but when he was with Eustace, the Iinowaen would often do it for him. Now that he's alone, he has trouble because of the length. However, Ivan knows the struggle, so whenever he's in town, he helps Kass or gives him tips.

SUMMARY

Referenced from: Interplanetary Playboy Analysis

Kass grew up in Jiquir, Mzoi, and had been full of energy since birth. While he never had many friends, his ability to talk to everyone around him and find joy in it made him feel less alone. Many people were irked by his energy, volume, and non-stop imagination though he often turned a blind eye to it.

Not much was able to bring the boy down, aside from the fact that he always felt second best. Despite being an only child, he felt like he could never live up to his parent’s expectations or even his teachers and could never seem to level with his classmates.

Despite how hard he tried and how much he liked school, he always got the worst grades. The only class he was relatively okay in was English because he would always write for fun, and it was the only thing he could seemingly do well for once. Of all the things he tried, whether it be violin, ballet, or sports—writing was the only thing he seemed okay at.

Kass grew up hearing stories of how their continent had been bombed countless times by Iinowaens, which led to the creation of the Mzoi Fjord. Despite being fully aware that he would likely flunk all his classes, Kass went to college to pretend he was doing something with his life and could make something of himself that his parents would finally be proud of.

He researched the attacks Xibagantu was still facing, and while getting his graduate degree, he traveled to Iinowae to write reports on the quality of life and political environment. Xibagantans would eat up news about Iinowae back at home, so Kass knew it was a potential way to get his name out there and feel important. He hoped that somehow his articles would be good enough to get him famous.

However, Kass grew bored of political journalism quite quickly. He didn’t know what to do with his life. He was only pursuing journalism to please his parents and make himself feel like something more than a walking flaw, but he hated every second of it. He thought that somehow his work would award him friends, but all he did was feel even more alienated.

Kass thought it would be nice to share hotel rooms with his colleagues while they all worked together, but while his classmates thought he was out of earshot, they talked poorly about him. He may have been on the patio, in the bathroom, or seemingly asleep while the others were up, but he heard everything. He didn’t know what to do. All he wanted was to feel worthy and happy.

Despite it being heavily against the rules, Kaspian collected a bag of his things, escaped the city, and ended up in Luekavi. He started taking notes on the environment and writing short stories about what he saw around him as he hiked through the continent. He was completely lost, but he didn’t care. He was doing something he enjoyed for once.
