Hollybriar was once a very cheerful and happy molly, but tragedy after tragedy, she is now a hollow shell of her former self, having almost everything she loved stripped away from her, she is now holding on tightly to what she has left.

Hollybriar is a very friendly and easy going cat, she trusts very easily and can't hold a grudge if it saved her life.

First Loss

Hollybriar had a pretty good and uneventful kithood and apprenticehood, her days consisted of hanging out with her brother, Crowshiver and his best friend, Coyoteash. Hollybriar and Coyoteash weren't actually that close though, they were just mutuals through Crowshiver.

But one day, Crowshiver died in an accident, and it left Hollybriar heartbroken, the days were dark and the future looked darker, but she managed to recover from the loss with Coyoteash, it took awhile but she's back on her feet and being her old self again. During this, the two warriors got very close to each other because of their shared grief.

After a few moons, the two confessed their love for each other and decided to start a family. Hollybriar has never been happier in her life, there were 4 kits in the litter, she decided to name the twins Hazelkit and Chestnutkit, while her partner named the other two Icykit and Cottonkit. They were happy family for awhile, the kits were happy and healthy, everything was looking good.

But then a fox attacked their den while they were away, it would've killed all the kits if Coyoteash didn't sacrifice his life for their remaining kit. Hollybriar was devastated, she almost lost everyone she cared about in less than a day. Hazelkit was the only that survived, and Hollybriar made sure to start training him as soon as possible, she did not want Hazelkit to end up like the rest of their family.

So she taught her to defend himself. The extra training made Hazelhawk a phenomenal warrior, earning the deputy rank even though he was extremely young. Hollybriar couldn't be prouder of her child. She was at peace, for the most part.

Second Grief

In a battle with Crystalclan, Hollybriar was fighting a warrior named Nettlewhisper, he was clearly not the greatest fighter but that didn't stop her from jumping to attack him. But then her eye caught a flash of brown fur and next thing she knew, she was pushed back and bleeding. Hazelhawk had attacked her and was standing in front of Nettlewhisper, protecting them.

Hollybriar was understandably confused, her own kit just attacked her to defend the enemy warrior! Hazelhawk then revealed that she and Nettlewhisper were in love with each other and we're partners. Before Hollybriar could process the information that was spewed at her, a warrior named Rattlemoth charged past her and slashed her child across the chest. Everything was a blur after that.

Silkbloom helped Hollybriar get her bearings together, but she was completely lost, her clanmates were giving her glares and whispers about Hazelhawk, they blamed her for what happened to young deputy because she was the one who trained him like this, at least that's what they said. Silkbloom tried their best but it wasn't enough, Hollybriar was broken. She started to not take care of herself, her fur once fluffy and soft to the touch became matted and untidy, she also had trouble eating.

After some time of living like a hollow shell, she proposed to Silkbloom, asking them to be her partner and to have kit with her. The other warrior was shocked but agreed reluctantly, but because of Hollybriar's poor health, one of the kits was a stillborn and the other two were extremely weak. Hollybriar named the stillborn Shiverkit, after her brother Crowshiver, and the weaker kit of the two survivers Ashkit, after her past partner Coyoteash.

Silkbloom then suggested the name Glorykit, after the morning glory. But by the next morning, Ashkit was the only kit alive and Hollybriar was losing hope of ever being happy again, it didn't help that Silkbloom left her to take care of the kit by herself. She never understood why Silkbloom broke up with her, but she respected their decision non the less.

Hollybriar would tell stories of Hazelhawk to Ashkit through out her entire kithood. She didn't want her only surviving kit to end up like the last one.

Final rest
