David Eo

hacker // witch moodboard
Call me David
Species Human (witch)
Age 26
Gender Trans masc
Pronouns He/They
Orientation Bisexual
Occupation Retail / Hacker
Allegiance Deadmen Gang
Personality

On the surface, David is perfectly average. He's shy, a little awkward, pretty quiet, but he's pleasant and easy to get along with and even more so once you've pushed past his barriers. If he's comfortable with you, he'll eagerly chatter your ear off about his favourite subjects: tech, games, code—"nerd stuff," he says.

With his mask on, however, David is a powerhouse: confident, cool, gets things done. It shuts out the noise, he says—helps him focus. As one of the only human members of the DMG, he gets babied a little, but in a pinch David can and has held his own.

Aliases

David lives something of a triple life: he's an average tech geek in one life, a powerful hacker for the DMG in another, and an anonymous hobby musician in a third. Compartmentalizing the different facets of his life works for him, though, and he's never too stressed about being uncovered, since he would be able to suppress the information easily thanks to his powers.

As part of the DMG
David’s role within the Deadmen Gang is primarily behind the scenes; he digs up dirt, helps pick targets, and suppresses information as needed. When he does make an appearance, however, his face is always hidden by a mask.

The mask is covered with a digital display he can update to show almost anything in real time. It's matte black when the screen is turned off. It also contains voice modulation he can tune on the fly.

Currently he has no specific name for this identity.
DVD
David dabbles in chiptunes and synths as a hobby. He mostly posts music completely anonymously on Soundcloud, but he's appeared in Caleb's Twitch streams before with his face completely glitched out at all times, and they've done a few collabs, as well.

The name DVD doesn't have any real meaning or purpose; he picked it largely at random, mostly because Caleb's alias is CCTV and it seemed good enough. He's never once stopped to realize it's his first name with the vowels taken out.

He's had his fair share of drama under this identity, since this alias is a known Deadmen Gang supporter. Although he's not too upset about being called out for it, since, of course, it's a cause he believes in, he does worry about the fallout hitting Caleb. Caleb doesn't really care either, though; the drama is good for his business.
Powers

His mother was a witch, from whom he inherited his power. Although her magic was more nature-based, his fascination with technology from an early age influenced how his power grew and evolved as he got older.

Technomancy
People think he's a tech wiz—and he is, kind of, but not in the way they think. Most of his prowess comes from his natural gift of technomancy.

David can summon up to 6 extra arms, all holographic in appearance, which can float out to within a foot or so of his body. He uses them primarily to multi-task.
Telekinesis
David is also an incredibly powerful telekinetic, able to lift and manipulate items far beyond his actual physical strength. Things he's manipulating with telekinesis tend to exhibit a red glow, which can be anywhere from functionally invisible to extremely bright depending on how much effort he needs to put into it.

Caleb

Caleb is one of his closest friends outside of the Deadmen Gang. They met in college and make music together from time to time; David has occasionally popped up on Caleb's livestreams, and he's a popular guest. Caleb has no idea that David is actually a member of the Deadmen Gang and not just a fan, nor does he know about David's powers.

Ben

As a witch, David has always been able to sense on some level when he's speaking to someone not quite human, so he knew from the start that Ben wasn't what he seemed. His initial distrust opened up into a mutual friendship once the two got to know each other. Though not a founding member, David was invited into the Deadmen Gang by Ben not long after its creation.
