Absent minded - Trend follower- Surprisingly bold at times

Born and reared in a quiet seaside village, Pen was the type of person to watch the waves roll in and world go by and be perfectly content in doing so. Once he moved to a (slightly) bigger town as he got older, he realized he was unskilled in one-on-one conversation, and so settled for blending in with a crowd. He liked whatever was popular at the time, and his opinion would be just as fickle as media as a whole- all because it helped him fit in, and it was nice to be a part of a group.

This habit extended into his opinions of everyday people, too- if someone was popular, well, he was going to like them on the surface, regardless of his true feelings. However, on one occasion, this feeling was legitimate. Like others around him, he was drawn to the new, charming person in town, but found himself watching from afar with genuine intrigue.
