IF you don't bring us fortune you are useless.

Head of House for the Merchant Family, the Mythwyr. This man runs a cutthroat and ruthless empire of smuggling and merchantry, hardly caring for the lesser or poorer people, or anyone without the clatter of coin in their pocket. Caters specifically to the well off noble and royal families, dealing in both magical and weapon goods, among other more rare finds such as live monster for experimentation and donation to Namarast and Faline researchers.

Kerrigan doesn't particularly align with any side without the incentive of significant coin and benefit. Prefers deals that favor more to his enrichment than others and will not shy from conning the less knowledgeable of their possessions. Makes very aggressive loans and anything unpaid is rumored to result in the 'disappearance' of any debtors, often not ignored or left by those with common sense. He will get what he's owed, always.

Personality

Cruel, selfish and greedy. This man cares little for his family and merely has children for the sake of his own ambitions. His eldest son is meant only as his successor, and the others were mistakes in his eyes. Eozon found some redemption from his cold judgement for the fact the boy can turn what he touches to gold, thus bringing money to his hands. Konnwyn being the eldest has the benefit of being his heir, though he finds the young man stupid to say the best with merely some brawn. He seems to despise his youngest entirely, throwing Yorro the scraps of deals or shunting him off to do unwanted grunt work, such as watching the Night Market on the filthy docks of Faline.

He does only what brings him wealth and power and seeks it out with little care for whether anyone he takes along survives or benefits. He will do whatever it takes, including murdering his own siblings in cold blood and prying the family pittance from his dying father's hands. With what he was given he did have the knack for making a mountain out of nothing, building the Mythwyr name from mere rags to riches and finding himself an illustrious spot on the council of Faline, swaying laws and ordinances to his favor.

History

Spite and loathing. Two things that molded Kerrigan into the detestable man he was. Life wasn’t easy nor was it the hardest, he merely wanted more than anyone could provide. Food and home were not enough, not when he watched nobles prance about, wasting and taking, he decided he’d take it for himself, add what was theirs to his collection. He’d take everything he wanted and he’d have the power to keep it.

His family didn’t know then what a mage was, but they soon found the dark void of the abyss calling them and their family funds held in crimson stained hands. Kerrigan found he could take and he took everything he could, his powers and greed growing with the wealth he acquired. Then he met a woman, nothing he cared for, yet she brought heirs. He wished for one, then there were more. More pawns he’d consider, hateful of what they wasted in their existence, yet useful when he needed, just barely. Useful enough to not traverse into the abyss and meet his patron.

There was always more, he wanted more, but there never was enough. Not to sate his desires or that of the other side. Would the patron want anything from him? It’s whispers plaguing his sleep, growing stronger and hungry for every coin he held in his hand. Would gold feed it or would his soul?

A pact with a distant primordial being allows Kerrigan to summon forth Portals linking an unoccupied space to a precise location or that of another dimension. From these portals one can view the space beyond and traverse the tear in time to enter locked locations easily or to swiftly steal what he desires, he has control enough to allow designated people to enter or leave, and may allow entrance and not exit in some cases.

These gates can be used to draw forth creatures of another plane to fight for him, often in the form of eldritch creatures to devour his enemies and do his bidding. They last for some time once summoned and cannot be swayed in behavior.

Abyssal Gates allow him a convenient manner to dispose of any evidence, be it contraband, worthless stolen goods, or even bodies without a trace, likely what happened to his siblings and father before him, as well as any he finds too inconvenienced to entertain.

Notes: He can summon 1 monster per 1 point of power and discipline, currently 5 monsters.
Portals last up to 10 minutes per point of discipline though he rarely keeps them open for more than 10 seconds. The creatures themselves remain until he sends them away or is otherwise rendered unconscious or sleeping.

For his own reasons he often doesn't leave them unattended as they can turn against him if left to their own freedoms for too long. The most he generally keeps any single monster summoned is 1 day before he either returns it to the abyss and replaces the creature with another or simple sends them all back.
