Mari's always craved adventure. Her heart beats wild within her chest, and she yearns to be away from her tribes and out in nature. For as long as she can remember, she's had a fascination with the stars, so much that her elders have chided her for not watching where she goes. Mari meticulously notes down every star she sees on a grand map of the sky, creating constellations according to her whimsy. Many say that she's an oddball, and her husband Assur agrees. However, he also encourages her.

The two met when they were young, and are now inseperable. Assur maps the land, whilst her attention is on the stars. While their services don't bring them food directly, they bring their work back to the tribes, who exchange the parchments for food. Mari quite enjoys the trading that comes with being in the tribes, and delights in all the little trinkets and advancements they come up with. In her own free time, she likes to sew and make little tchotchke to use as leverage for trading non-necessities.
