AbouT

Supporting character, but they have a rich background.

By personal storyline is a "story end" for one of the historical figures, who acts against new religious teaching; Though, right at the moment, Pasha doesn't remember their epic far past and almost hasn't a connection with "The Witch" (in terms of skills, personality, experience and...everything else). With the exception of minor moments that affect only on preferences. But Pasha "inherited" their own witchcraft and is forced to do something with it now.

Harmless boyio, kind, naive and quiet. It knows their place in the hierarchy and OK with the family business [taxidermy] but wants to restore its past state of power when it grows up. So Paulo trying to study chemistry. Loves to make owls-room-guards, since their fav " fantasy animals" are owls.
Vulnerable, physically and emotionally. Afraid of becoming " evil again". [Just because Pasha doesn't remember how the "reborn system" works and the "evil witch's" actions]

This character is an answer for me about "The need for a core/information-holding-thing" in terms of the world lore.
The symbol of a fear of losing individual "I am", "I want", "My purpose" and etc.

Trivia

  • Reincarnation [passive]
Overcode/witchcraft which was created by Pasha forced their mind reborn again and again, even if their information holding thing [the Core] was destroyed. But their original memory is gradually removed with each rebirth.
History

[Foretimes]

Paulo's body is young, very young. And mind too. But their overcode is a thing from elder times.

Their witchcraft is a reincarnation system, which is unnatural for the system of the world. [Link to additional words about their witchcraft]
They were born and died several times already. And only ~ 70 years old they still remembered who they were a long time ago, but their memory is crashing every time after rebirth. And each reincarnation made their goal dimmer, as well as personal qualities and general awareness of the created project.

Pasha's first-ever look and mind were pretty harsh, vengeful and stubborn. They were a supporter of the "pagan community" and their ardent protest was the result of an aggressive policy of a new one monotheistic church based on the "Magic Man".
An ardent desire to do "at least something," anger and despair, led them to engage in witchcraft, but their skills allowed them only creation of tricks with memory. Though. At that time, the word “witch” just fit almost everything that show-off a lot. More innocents perished under that title.
They made this risky thing to help "unbreakable side of mind freedom" and to save their friends. After all, Pasha was familiar with Zima, owl-skull-gargoyle, they really know, that any Human-Like-God do not exist. As well as any other kind of god. "Not a single their “true rule and the word” is worth lives of my darlings", the witch thought.

Pasha’s first life ended in an unnatural way [well, the result of the "natural way" is hard to find in their world. But there was an extremely unnatural situation]. Their Core, - an "unbreakable and marvelous mechanism" which "pagans" loved so much, - was crashed by one of the guards of the new religion after a face-to-face meeting. Actually, this was expected. For such an outcome the witchcraft includes rebirth. Their overcode is a World-System-Modification, to save personality without a Core. Their body may die. But they will not lose themselves completely after such a mishap and they can gain a new body and a new Core, to be brief.
Just like in all old tales about evil witches burned at the holy stake, their "evil spirit" came back. Over and over again.

Pasha's actions were for 70% failed in the process of revenge, as we can see now. This Reborning-Software was pretty nice, but not enough durable. Their original memory faded, the Owl revert her eyes from a sad story, and efforts with an overcode turned into a curse rather than salvation.

The story of the "undead witch" exists only in Paulo's own nightmares now...well, and in a couple of books written by winners. [And in these books written, what a nasty which was this etta and Pasha believes those sad words.]
Paulo lost all feelings and knowledge, which guided them in several first lives. The completely different creature now. But still loves owls.

[Nowadays]

Taxidermist's child, usual body, usual mental state. Has friends and other things that all young beings have. Unless, due to their own nightmares, too often Pasha wonders about the morality and immorality.

Having a visible disagreement with the public opinion, that they are "evil" or "was evil", and that there is an "evil" in general, Pasha joined the Salta Corp. The Corp. supports a political opposition on an official basis, declares that witches, vampires, and the rest of the "evil" are not so "bad". wonder who allowed them to be the opposition, hehe?
Pasha turned to something official not because they sincerely believe in the concept itself but because they want to believe. But this is a confused child, lost in a huge world of fluent phrases. Their opinion and position will change often and unpredictably, as it usually happens in youth.

Because of the witch's past, Pasha becomes "nestling" of Xehep, another witch. And fully trusted the good-natured mentor. But the poor fellow doesn't know many important things, neither about Salta Corp. nor about their old friend. This leads to episodes of disappointment.
