Eden's older brother. He's not well educated like she is, but he's just as gruff, if not a little more rough around the edges. While he is trying to clean up his act, his temper though curbed, still has a fast flame. He is often caught magically with less clothing than moments before, not because he's trying to be a show off, but because he hates feeling restricted. Clothing makes him feel really claustrophobic at times, especially in spaces like elevators, causing almost immediate loss of layers. He used to get into fights a lot in his teens, but taking a more active role in helping to raise Eden forced him to choose his battles more carefully. The first punch is rarely thrown by Zala, unless it's for Eden or loved ones.

Zala & Eden's Mother died when they were young, & in the early stages of Zala's teen years, their father succumbed to alcoholism. This development lent itself to the ever more crass behaviors that his children picked up.Due to their relatively humble beginnings, they are both fighters in their own ways. Zala throws himself into his crafting & art. He calls it a craft or occupation rather than art though, to him it sounds too flimsy, like he couldn't support Eden on an artist's salary. Speaking of, when he didn't have enough to help her all the way through college, he really beat himself up. That defeat spurred him into working with more fine details, & eventually found himself working on jewelry since it was easier to market hand crafted body art in his words, rather than his huge sculptures he'd been doing. He also occasionally dabbles in costume prop work when business is slow.
